When we're red, the opposing team is always white. That's kind of boring for the fans at the Bell Centre night after night.

But when we're white, the fans get to see varying colours from the opposition.

Personally I prefer white at home and red on the road. How about you?

I prefer the red jersey for sure but I can see the point about getting to see more variety by wearing the white. I think I would still go with the Red though.

Its interesting to hear so many young fans who associate red with home. Until recently (2003), white (or light) was always the home colour - for every team - and I have always associated white with home.

Surprisingly, Ive always been more partial to the white. Its not that I dont love the red - i do - I just think the logo is more dramatic & powerful set against the stark white of the traditional white home jersey.

I suspect we'll see status quo for a few more years & then in about a decade they'll probably switch back to the traditional white at home.

I prefer the white, no question. I'm not big on the red jersey at all, not that I hate it, I'm just not much for red. I've always wanted to see a 3rd (or 4th...whatever) jersey that was black. I have a black practice jersey and it looks nice. I think it would be interesting, every once in a while.

I like the Red, but I wonlt have a problem with the White when the league switches back to white jerseys for home teams. Although I'd love to see some teams completely eliminating the white. For example the following teams jerseys look ugly in white; Nashville, Calgary, Bruins, Philadelphia. There's no reason why Bruins for example should not be allowed to wear black at home and Yellow on the road. All the road teams wearing white gets boring after a while.

I love the red jersey at home but maybe the NHL could do the same thing that they do in the CHL? You wear the white jersey at home for the first half of the season then you switch for the coloured one for the second half. I think it could be cool...

It's funny cos through the 80's and 90's, I hated the fact that the home jersey's were white. I always fancied the red over the white. I guess in my mind the red was always the real jersey, to me the white was a secondary jersey... It's role, to make the distinction between the 2 teams playing, making it easier on the goalie. Could you imagine playing nets during the original 6 line up?

Sure the wings red jersey wasn't quite the same red as the Habs jersey, but could make things very confusing for a goalie or even the defense.
