swansee
Good game last night against Phantoms - played on a line with Palushaj - lots of energy from both - 1-0 win in OT.
GermanHabsNation
He's on fire right now. In his last 7 games he scored 6 goals and added 5 assists for 11 points during that span.

Good to see that someone is scoring for the Bulldogs. Perhaps he's trying to be the next one to earn a call-up with Montreal.

We might not need a 4th line center next year, after all.
GermanHabsNation
His streak continues. Make it 9 games, 8 goals and 7 assists for 15 points. Maybe he should deserve another chance with the Habs.

This is great news... makes Nokaleinen tradable/waivable and the need for a 4th line center, less indispensible.

jennifer_rocket
Wonder why another injury? trade? No idea. Maybe just as a reward for strong play in Hamilton. Was anyone called up when Gionta went down with an injury? Or was that before Gomez returned to the lineup?
BeanCountingHab
Wonder why another injury? trade? Moen and Noki were both doubtful for Wednesday. Anyway, this kid has been on an absolute tear in Hamilton which I did not see coming. I'm anxious to see how he looks this time around. Figured it couldnt have been an extra forward with White to return in the next few weeks
Guest
Another shot for the kid. Curious to see how much work he gets with RC at the helm this time around. The team release on Engqvist: Assigned to the Bulldogs on December 5 the 6’01’’ and 201 lbs centre ranks second on the Bulldogs in scoring with 23 points (13 goals, 10 assists) in 27 games this season. Five of his goals were scored on the powerplay. Engqvist registered 63 shots on goal and displays a team-leading +9 plus/minus differential. In eight games with the Canadiens this season, Engqvist, 24, maintained a +1 plus/minus differential, recorded four blocked shots and five hits, while averaging 6:24 of ice time per game. The Stockholm-born forward Engqvist signed with the Canadiens as a free agent on July 13, 2009.
jennifer_rocket
I hope he performs well. I'd love to see him end the season here.
weepingminotaur
We'd best see what he has for the remainder of the season. He's already 24 and we need to know sooner rather than later if he has a future with the big club. I'd play him and Palushaj over Darche and Nokelainen going forward. Darche and Noke have no future here, and while I'm skeptical as to whether Engqvist does either, I agree that he deserves one last shot. I'm not going to judge too much based on this one game tonight, though, given that he played yesterday and spent his day today flying to Montreal. Darche is a great "character" guy and Im sure he'll sign for league minimum and play where-ever and how-ever we want, if thats the plan. You know what you get out of him & if we decide to resign him next season to play as a 4th liner, so be it. Noke is out of the plans, IMHO. We need to find out if Engvist has a future and, to a lesser extent Palushaj (although i would likely give him at least 1 more year either way). BigTed3
Back to Hamilton for the AS break. Will see if Moen is ready to go by next week then.

grecohab
he played tonihgt? In order for him to make it, in the NHL and the Habs line up, he has to pick up the phisical aspect of his game, and exceed in the face off circle. He is after all big, and reliable defensively. He can be a decent 4th line center in the future for us, if he works out those elements of his game.
BigTed3
And he's back. Suggests neither Noke nor Moen will be ready tomorrow. White is apparently possible for Tuesday...
BigTed3
Apparently going to be sent back down again tonight... means White, Noke, or Moen is expected to be ready for Thursday if this is true.
