FirstStar
Call me old fashioned but the standing ovation given to the Rocket when they played their last game in the Forum still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it especially cause you could see his emotion. He's usually a very serious and humble guy but he really felt grateful that day. That has to be the most memorable moment for me. I wish I was there. Or a very emotional Robinson as his number made it's way to the rafters. Speaking of Robinson, I was a lil sad that BG didn't approach Larry about the head coaching job. Didn't he win a cup in NJ as head coach?
sebchenier
Or a very emotional Robinson as his number made it's way to the rafters. Speaking of Robinson, I was a lil sad that BG didn't approach Larry about the head coaching job. Didn't he win a cup in NJ as head coach? Nobody knows BG's thought process. I also liked the idea of Robinson coming to Montreal. The fact that BG was able to fish Jacques Martin out of Florida meant he had one coach in mind and did what he had to do to go get him. This is part of his tactiful mastermind of a plan he's setting us up for next year. In my opinion, fetching a man obsessed with defense means he wants to ensure that his number one prospect, Carey Price, will be able to develop this year. bikerbob7501
One of my favourite moments, would be two years ago when we're short handed in over time against the Leafs in Toronto and Komisarek intercepts a McCabe pass and takes it in on a breakaway and scores. I loved that
kfourni
I can't remember the specific game, but it was against Boston in 07/08 season when Kovi just made Chara look like a pilon on two occasion and went from one end of the ice to the other to score
CANADIENS27
still waiting. You may be right. Other than the second half of the 2007-08 season, there isn't much else.
mortwinkler
Saku Koivu... And as for my favourite Saku moment it would have to be his return from cancer. I was lucky enough to be at that game and will NEVER forget it. It still sends shivers down my spine when I see it replayed. My second favourite Saku moment was last season when they were in EDM, I had the opportunity to meet Koiuv, watch the moning skate and get my picture taken with him. Classy, irreplaceable guy. Zonave
I'm suprised that not everybody ut the torch ceremony or Koivu's return. For me, it's Koivu's return. Sidenote:Remember when Koivu was hit in his eye agaisnt Carolina in '06? I remenber I was ecstatic we went up 2-0 in the series, because I though Carolina was going to win the Cup. After Koivu got injured, Carolina won 4 in a row. Another example of why more than a small section of Montreal died when he left. For me and fellow hockey fans that I know(none of them Habs fans) he was the face of Montreal and the heart of the team.

Weagle11
One of my favorite moments was the Intro to the 2009 NHL All Star game in Montreal (I don't know why), and the 6-2 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs on April 4, 2009!!!!!! shmitzy-11
Um... My favourite memory since 1993 is all of the moments when I've sat down and thought about 1993. That was swell.
tml08
I cant pin point one favourite moment but a couple of them would have to be my first time in Montreal. Myself and my dad went and watched our first NHL game woooooo Montreal tied the game Max Lapierre sorry listening to the pre season game against Buffalo anyways we went to our first game it was in 1999 the opening game of the season against the Maple Laughs I mean Leafs. They lost but I'll never forget the experience. I was so excited I couldnt eat anything that whole day until after the game was over then I went to McDonalds and ordered two big macs lol. Another one would have to be when my brother my dad and myself all went to Montreal and watched my third NHL game in 2001 and the Canadiens had just acquired Sergei Berezin and he scored the habs 10,000th home ice goal against the San Jose Sharks. The Molson Center (at the time) went crazy and Montreal went on to beat them 3-1. Another favorite moment would have to be the the comeback win over the Rangers I was jumping up and down and hugging all my friends that were watching the game with me aswell screaming like a little girl and just going nuts couldnt believe what I had just saw. One memory i'll never forget either definitly not my favorite but I will never forget is when Patrick Roy was playing his last game and came off the ice and walked right by Mario Tremblay went behind the bench to speak with the teams owner we all knew what was going to happen after that. And the very emotional Koivu comeback I will never forget either. He scored three points in two games after being out the year fighting cancer couldn't believe it. Koivu will forever be a Habs player in my eyes no matter what happens, he will be missed for sure.
Innis_Mor
Kovalev sliped a elbow from Tucker , it was a dirty shot , Kovalev did a little dance , had 4 of the 5 leafs chasing him on the boards , around the net, back to the blue line , he did a complete circle and had Tucker in his sites, passed Tucker the puck from 6 feet and nailed him with a leaping forarm . youtube has the hit ... by far my favorite. YouTube: The Hab crowd roar is super!! The leaping elbow is at 0:17 (score was 6-2 Montreal at the time, with a little over 2 minutes to go in the game, and Tucker is trying to carve Kovy et al with his stick -- numbskull ). Listen carefully and you'll hear Harry Neale chuckling as Tucker gets nailed. Always liked Harry more after that.

FlipBoy
After reading everyone's most favorite Habs moment, it made me realize that so much has happened during the last sixteen years and that's why we're known as the best hockey franchise ever. Who knows what lies upon us this upcoming season...just more history to be added to the books!

DiiiRTY-Russell
when Saku Koivu came back from cancer has to be in the top 3 for everyone. that guy was the heart and soul of this team until this offseason. i was so upset to see him leave knowing all the things he did for us fans to cheer about. one of the best sports stories of all time in my eyes. i also really enjoyed the night Jan Bulis scored like 4 goals hahaha! bring back Bulis!
