roy_133
UPDATE: September 12th- Disgruntled forward Dany Heatley and a fifth round draft pick have been traded to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Milan Michalek, Jonathan Cheechoo and a second round pick. The trade ends a saga that began with a verbal trade request in mid-May. A request, sources say, led to several discussions between Heatley, Senators coach Cory Clouston, Senators GM Bryan Murray, as well as Heatley's agents, JP Barry and Stacey McAlpine. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=290808 ---------------- The Ottawa Senators have reached an agreement to send Dany Heatley to the San Jose Sharks, NHL sources told ESPN's John Buccigross. The 28-year-old forward was part of a three-team deal that will send the Sharks' Patrick Marleau to the Los Angeles Kings and the Kings' Alexander Frolov and Jarret Stoll to the Senators. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=4463628 It's worth noting the article said 2 GMs already denied it... chrisjamessauve
That selfish loser doesn't deserve to play in the NHL any more. Good for Ottawa to get rid of him.

AK-1
Maybe the GM's denied it, because of a couple of details left to sort out... such as a NMC, maybe? It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. Will he stay or will he go?

It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. Will he stay or will he go? Very possible, if not likely, Heatley has a NTC and so does Marleau. Marleau's could be a stumbling block if I had to guess.

alzimutg
However, the NHL main page is reporting it. They only report the ESPN article. The trade has been denied by two GMS who were suppose to be involve in the deal. This is not happening and Heatley is still a Senators.
nhljc
Ottawa gets Frolov and Stoll? Wow. If this is true I have to hand it to the Senators managers.
leafs_rock_go_mccabe
Ottawa gets Frolov and Stoll? Wow. If this is true I have to hand it to the Senators managers. If you keep in mind that Dany Heatley is one of the top goal-scorers in the league... That's not even a good deal. Yes, we obviously have to take into account that Heatley has handicapped his value by acting moronic, but I don't know if I would make a deal to get Frolov and Stoll for Heatley. SteenIsThaFuture
If Bruce Garrioch is critcizing the source, the trade is complete and utter *****.
swimmerpuck
Still waiting patiently to see where this idiot ends up. I actually feel sorry for the Sens organization through this mess. Pronger already skipped town out of Edmonton so I'm trying to figure out why they'd be interested in Heatley. bailey1
Which source is correct? Ottawa gets Frolov and Stoll? or Michalek and Cheechoo? I'd take the first one.
animerules1x3
Michalek, Cheechoo and a 2nd rounder.
ruuvimeisseli
Michalek, Cheechoo and a 2nd rounder. I think San jose wins this deal if Heatley plays like a 40/50 goals scorer he once was. Heatley and a 5th round pick for Michalek, Cheechoo and a 2nd rounder.
