Chris Higgins 2009-2010

I don't think he is that bad. Many people overrated him and other young prospects on the team, but he is still capable of being a second line player from what I can see. At worst he can still be a good third/fourth line player. It seems a lot of players who go to the Rangers end up sucking for whatever reason. A rare few actually do well there.

kinda sad that the best player in the trade so for was Tom Pyatt.

For sure. I still say no matter what that the NYR got the best of this trade, Getting ride of a huge contract like Gomez was truely and amazing move. It's really irrelevant how Higgins plays Sather accomplished what he wanted in freeing up cash for Gaborik.

Kind of like out Theodore trade..

Just to get theo off of the books was AMAZING by BG.. even tho we received a HORRIBLE goalie in return, we got rid of his Horrible contract..

That being said, im sure NYR just wanted gomez's contract off of there books.. But gomez is still a very good player, just not worth that 7.3 million

more along the lines of 4-5

I watched the Rangers/Flyers game today, and boy... Does Chris not look too good down in New York. Bad decisions all game long.

funny i didn't see that. the whole team outside of gaborik is a bit off. most fans are puzzled like we were.the amount of shots with little results. haven't talked to a real ranger fan yet whose dissapointed in his work they all think he plays hard, though begining to see that hes a 3rd line two way player

Could be worse he could have gotten Latendresse and played him on the first line.

Latendresse continues to be a vastly superior offensive player to Higgins.

Latendresse has 6 goals in 13 games since the trade, he has 8 goals, 2 assists and is -1 36 games this season.

Higgins has 4 goals, 6 assists ans is -9 in 36 games this year.

Latendresse has better stats overall, and much better stats since the trade. You however are biased so you will deny this.

Keep denying away, but there's a risk Higgins will be without an NHL job next fall, and be KHL-bound.

Na 0% he'll be khl bound...

we'd resign him before that..

1 million take it or go play in russia.. LOL

over a lazy latrendresse any day. the kid plays hard. its funny how montreal fans supposedly pride themselves on knowing players/ really knowing them. never do you hear about his lack of A SLAP SHOT. it self admitting in the canadiens magazine. say what you want he plays hard, is not lazy and can change the flow. snake bite he is, played his best with mike ryder and was never a goal man ryder was he was a product of the line along with the captin.as a second line if we had kept them they would be cranking it out.

Higgins and Redden (not cause I really want him, just cause I heard hes on the trading block) to us for....Pax, Dags, O'Byrne, maybe a low draft pick? Sounds good to me.

No way, they'd have to throw in Drury too.

I wouldnt mind to see Higgins back..

If he pulls a Bergeron next season looking for his 3+ million and no one comes knocking

@ 1 million a season on the 3rd-4th line. He would be great, and he has a ton of fans here.

I know this is very unlikely, as im sure many teams would be interested in him at around 1.5
