Lynch_mtl
Scored the game winner tonight over the Ruins. His first goal at home. And only his fifth too! I was watching that game, it was a nice little goal, and a sign that he can still score in this league.
kjdriedger
Higgins and Redden (not cause I really want him, just cause I heard hes on the trading block) to us for....Pax, Dags, O'Byrne, maybe a low draft pick? Sounds good to me. wow. nothing like giving up on a rookie 20 year old. sounds horrible to me.
johnny_canuck_21
Higgins had an unfortunate encounter with former Hab Mike Ribiero in the game last night between Dallas & the Rangers. His stick accidentally hit Ribiero's throat, & Ribiero had to spend the night in New York. NEW YORK -- The Dallas Stars said centre Mike Ribeiro will stay overnight at a New York hotel after sustaining a throat injury during a loss to the New York Rangers. Ribeiro was accidentally struck under his chin by the stick of New York's Christopher Higgins as the players crossed paths at centre ice in the second period of the Stars' 5-2 loss Wednesday night. Ribeiro stayed down for several minutes, and was doubled over as he was helped to the dressing room. He was taken to a hospital to be evaluated, and then released. Ribeiro was expected to fly back to Dallas on Thursday. "There is something wrong with his throat," Stars coach Marc Crawford said. "They have him at the hospital making sure everything is OK after taking the stick in the throat. They are checking to make sure everything is all right in his airways." Higgins didn't appear to see Ribeiro as they skated in opposite directions. The Rangers forward was given a minor penalty for high-sticking at 15:32 of the second period. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=305072

Randy15
just in case this news is not too obvious, Glen Sather turns whatever he touches into a terrible hockey player.....most recently....Redden, Gomez, Drury, and Higgins. Higgins is a shell of himself down here, I dont watch a ton of rangers games because they are brutal to watch, but Higgins has not won himself many fans down here. Wish it weren't the case, but it is. Gomez has his nights, but they were more plentiful 10 years ago with the devils. I guess Gaborik is an exception

teststory
I feel bad for his family and friends. They are all switching teams for him. Especially his father who was a die hard Habs fan until he went to the Rangers. Now he has to switch again.

Wayne-1
in case you hadn't read it somewhere else: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=308527 Sources tell TSN the New York Rangers and Calgary Flames are expected to announce a trade that will send Calgary centre Olli Jokinen and forward Brandon Prust to the Rangers in exchange for forwards Ales Kotalik and Christopher Higgins. Sources indicate that New York is awaiting Calgary's final sign-off before the trade call is made and the deal becomes official. It's unlikely any of that will be completed prior to Monday morning. - 30 -
ChiLla
I could see him being a fit in Calgary, if he's going to get a new contract of course.
FlHabsFan
Hopefully this shakeup works for him. Hes got 4 months to work for his next contract. Im sure he was somewhat glad to be in NY (close to home) but Im glad hes out of there. I just cant root in any way for the rangers. At least I kinda like Calgary. kiprusoffk
Rangers must have woke up and decided to put the halt to this trade. Jokinen is a waste of space and money and I am so glad Montreal did not get him when he was available

Wayne-1
done deal now... gee, I wonder how much effort Jokinen and Prust put in tonight knowing it was their last game for Calgary... though Prust will probably end up being traded back to Calgary before too long, he's the cat that came back... 74Kos-yn-31Price
Calgary better have another deal coming tonight or tomorrow... or else they just made 2 HORRIBLE trades...
