FanFromAB
I'm 30 years old, so needless to say I never got to see the Rocket play but he's still my all-time favorite Hab! From when I was a kid, so 1984ish to 1996 my fave was Big Bird on D and I'd have to say Big John Leclair up front! As a twenty something fan, so 1996 to now my Favorite has to be Markov on D and Koivu up front! I hope that Koivu gets 90pts in Anaheim!
swimmerpuck
Habs Past: Guy Lapointe Present: Roman Hamrlik (I like veteran players who have reputations for being very approachable for advice and also sharing it.) Non-Habs: (I know it wasn't asked, just wanted to prove that I don't have a defenceman fetish, unlike Mr. Gainey) Past: Gilbert Perreault Present: Cory Stillman (see Roman Hamrlik)

WTA
My favourite Habs of the 80s and 90s were Claude Lemieux, Stephane Richer, Patrick Roy, Shayne Corson, Mats Naslund, Pierre Turgeon, Saku Koivu, Kirk Muller, Vincent Damphousse, Russ Courtnall, Mathieu Schneider, Eric Desdjardins, Oleg Petrov Valeri Bure, Mark Recchi and Chris Nilan My favourite Habs of the 2000s prior to the start of the 2009-10 season were/are Andrei Markov, Andrei Kostitsyn, Sergei Kostitsyn, Saku Koivu, Doug Gilmour, Yanic Perreault, Mark Streit, Marcel Hossa, Maxim Lapierre, Jaroslav Halak and Mike Komisarek Favourite Current Habs are Markov, the Kostitsyns, Halak, Lapierre, Max Pacioretty, Matt D'Agostini Brian Gionta was my favourite player in New Jersey, the guy can skate, score, he is also solid defensively and reminds me alot of Koivu with the heart and passion he brings and I can't wait to see him with the Habs, Mike Cammalleri has an awesome shot and had a wicked season in Calgary last year he even out scored Jarome Iginla 39 to 35 he is a great addition and will make fans say Alexei who????? Scott Gomez is an excellent play maker and it will be sweet to see Gomez and Gionta rekindle the chemistry they had while on the same line in New Jersey Travis Moen is an excellent defenisve forward who is big, tough and not afraid to drop the gloves, and although he's big and good defensively he can also skate and chip in with the odd point, I think he'll have some good chemistry with Lapierre and Latendresse if that line gets put together Jaroslav Spacek had a very good season with Buffalo tying career highs in points, he is a very good puck moving defenseman and with the Habs having him to start the season their power play is going to benifit alot, and I'm certain he will be able to compliment Markov Between Hal Gills size and toughness and Paul Maras size and the fact he's not a bad skater for his size and also with him being able to pick up the odd point I'm sure the two of them will more then make up for the loss of Komisarek Either/or both PK Subban and Yannick Weber will be up with Montreal some point in the season, those two guys are definately the future at the point for Montreal, Ben Maxwell and Tom Pyett with their speed will definately have a chance to crack the Habs lineup at some point during the season as well, both guys had a strong pre season in my opinion

Ace_mtl
My All-Time Favourite Player is Jean Beliveau, he is the best player/ambassador that hockey has had. I was fortunate to have watched him play and lead our Habs to so many triumphs Ah Yes those were the days! One of the greatest captains of all time and hands down the finest gentlemen in hockey history if not all sports history. I saw him play too and he was a real pleasure to watch.
