FirstStar
I hope he finally gets the applause he deserves. Most mis-understood d-man, he was never known for his defensive skills but for his offensive skills. Yet he was constantly criticized for his defensive play. Most offensive d-men have limited to average defensive skills. He helped us win our '93 cup with his offensive skills. I just hope where ever he ends up, that he'll be appreciated. lesfoldi
odd that he is doing it tonight. it would have been nice on the first home game of the season. Good luck breezer! thanks for the memories
CanadianMike
during a preseason game? Good luck racing cars Breezer. He will get cheered very loudly tonight (for all those years of BOOOing some fans did).
hockeychick018
during a preseason game? Yeah, that's what I thought too Anyway, all the best to you in the future Patrice... I hope nobody is unclassy enough to boo him tonight!
Dintrox12
Thanks Breezer for all you did in the CH. You had a good run playing over 1000 games in the NHL. Brisebois will also receive the Jean Beliveau trophy for his efforts last year. The trophy recognizes a player's effort, enthusiasm, involvement and time invested in collective and personal initiatives ( charity work). Best of luck with your future pursuits and perhaps coaching will be in the cards if not there is always racing.

mortwinkler
When all else fails, and no one else wants you the only logical thing is to "retire" so you don't look silly. I was worried he'd end back up with the Habs. Good luck racing, hopefully it goes better for you.
roy_133
It was definitely time, he had a good career and nothing but the best to him in his retirement.
habsfan512
I enjoyed watching Breezer make things that are difficult look easy--sometimes not so easy. I will miss him. No booing please he is a classy fellow and does not deserve it.
cooch-a-mania
Here's to a great player Patrice, You looked like the "big brother" for the defence corps. May not have been the big hitter or the booming shot, but u played every game with all you had. Enjoy everyday! Best of luck.
tony5775
Have two jersey's in my closet. One is Guy Lafleur the other is Brisbois. Will miss defending him at every hockey conversation about the Habs, the last couple of season.
habsinottawa
My old man always hated him, but I personally thought he was a class act. A great representative for our beloved habs. Hope he suceeds in whatever he does now, and that all the haters don't boo. He doesn't need that.
Guest
Brisebois was the ultimate Hab in my book. Gave his best every game despite being asked to do more then his abilites could handle in his first stint with the Habs. Unfortunately he was booed because of it. He made mistakes on the ice and they were unjustly amplified by some fans and media. I wont remember him for his errors, but rather for his heart. All the best in your new carreer Pat. Lynch_mtl
I wish I was at the Bell Center tonight if for no reason but to help in the applause of Patrice as he received the Beliveau Award tonight.
ChitownHabby
odd that he is doing it tonight. it would have been nice on the first home game of the season. Good luck breezer! thanks for the memories Sad, really. His chip is still evident and he knew NOBODY would boo the guy who raised the most for charity. My heart went out to him when he called out the people that ruined his career, cried and declared he was a winner and no one could take away that stanley cup ring from him. For all the harsh criticism he took, he was a true bleu, blanc et rouge and with his retirement, the last of the mohicans is now Matt Schneider, the last remaining active cup winner in a habs uniform.
