357908_1475251331
why does the nhl want to get involved as a third party to a dispute, when for years they allowed blackhawks home games to be unavailable? what remorseless self interest. unfathomable and grossly inadequate in a business sense. unethical in a philosophic sense. Zonave
As a directv customer, i hope the NHL gets the argument solved so I can see the NHL games. Vs shows more than any other network, so they are really huge.
357908_1475251331
i just want to bring it to the forum's attention again- so i'm posting. imagine if you will that every person in the chicago area- including people in hospitals and hospices, infirm and aged, incapacitated or healthy were unable to view their home team because the nhl couldn't make their owner show home games in the media, but when it comes to blackmail- or so it appears- by versus owned by comcast- the league grants full and heavy pressure to be placed on the aggrieved party. and this is the league that we want to look into fighting? head shots and boarding? cripes. Large difference between one local fanbase and your National TV contract. This isn't about being fair. Also Blackhawks being blacked out at home was all because of Wirtz, that was an ownership decision over their own team and TV contract, not a league issue. habsfanfla
I saw this on the NHL channel the other day and they were talking to Bettman about it, he said that the league is very happy with Versus and that the Network treats the league very well so they will do all they can to help the network expand because as someone else here said, the more outlets Versus has the more outlets the league has.....
