FanFromAB
I was reading a thread on the Leafs board that was titled: Am I a Bad Person. The poster basically saying that he overjoyed to learn that Markov had been injured so badly! Classy people over there. I had responded to it but the thread has been since erased, well I cant seem to find it anyway! Does anyone else find their board to be over cluttered; very disorganized? I had responded to it but the thread has been since erased, well I cant seem to find it anyway! Does anyone else find their board to be over cluttered; very disorganized? Which board are you referring too??Their official board is a ghost town since they changed over,, and the more popular Leafcentral board seems to be ok,,, except they are very lenient with bashing and language. There's always been a lot of overlap on many threads in both sites also.
habs1119
they are a bunch of beer bellied, shaved head, goatee wearing buffoons! They're a bad suit away from looking like Don Cherry...I take that back, I'd rather wear a bad suit instead of that blue and white monstrocity that they wear! Since Markov went down, every leaf fan that I know has made it a point to mock and ridicule him to me in person or via facebook. I would never wish an injury like that on any player, it is discusting that anyone would feel that way at all. Went Foster went down a couple years ago, I felt bad, when Blake's cancer became public, I felt bad. I guess Habs fans just have more class...and better taste..and our women are hotter...etc On a lighter note, did anyone else notice how Ron McClean put Cherry in his place during the HABS-lauffs post game? Cherry was going on and on about the laffs team toughness and McClean mentioned how MTL totally outhit t.o. by a 37-22 score...what was Cherry's reply, he put his hands in the air and ignored it and kept going on on his old topic...way to drink the Brian "I'm a douchbag" Burke kool-aid! Haha, I dig your posts man. I dont really like watching leafs habs games on cbc anymore because of the biassed anti hab comments. Early in the first period Glen Healy called Jacques Martin one of the most boring men on earth or something.
squ1g33
Glen Healy called Jacques Martin one of the most boring men on earth or something. I have a profound dislike for Glen Healy since he took the ridiculous side of the players during the lockout on TSN. His mug was everywhere... Obviously he was jockeying for a job with them (as we now know). I would put no stock whatsoever into what he says. Having said that I was sitting beside Jacques Martin on a flight to Chicago once (when he was with Ottawa), we did chat a bit, but it is obvious he has a very calm demeanor (maybe even to a fault much like BG) and this is where people probably get confused. avsgirl621
Let's face it, the Leafs are off to a less than stellar start. I am a mature adult, except when it comes to the Leafs. Indulging my childish side, here are some of their season highlights so far for me: 1. BGL body slamming Colton Orr to the ground. I am not ashamed to say I watched the fight in slow-mo, and George landed a couple of real haymakers on Orr's jaw. Then the camera switches to Burke as he puts his binoculars down, realizing his new tough guy got owned. 2. Francois Beauchemin. I know he, like the entire team, can play much better, but fun while it lasts. 3. Mike Komisarek. While Francois will play much better, Mikey K will not, which will have me watching more Leafs hockey this year. 4. On the Habs OT winner, we had the sight of Josh Gorges waltzing into the slot while 3 Leafs stumbled around the net, and Jason Blake doing his best Dany Heatley impersonation on the backcheck. Hilarious. 5. Vesa Toskela pretending he is an NHL goalie. 6. Outright panic on any Leaf's board by half the members. 7. The trainwreck that is the Leaf's penalty kill. Please add any I may have missed...

I really think Montreal is underated regarding toughness. Gionta/Cammy/Gomez get a lot of attention for being small, but if you look at the team, I think we match up sizewise with most teams. Our D are big and strong, and our 2nd thru 4th lines aren't too bad either.

Guest
Toskalaugh putting in another stellar effort for the Leafs vs the Pens. They should spend a ton of money and beef up the D,,,,oops,,,done that. They should play the Muppet.....oops,,, he's injured. They should call up Rask....oops,,,they traded him. They should call up Pogge,,,,oops,,,they released him. They should trade a couple 1st rounders for a starter,,,,oops,,,they have none.

avsgirl621
The Leafs are down 2-0 to the Rangers already and well on the way to another embarassment. As their young season swirls the drain in early October, here are some choice words from the Leafs game day thread at hfboards: "Komisarek is a horrible, horrible defenseman. Please get rid of him." "The only thing Komisarek can shut down is his team's breakout play." "The really sad thing is we're paying to the cap limit to ice the worst team in the NHL." "****, Wilson bench Komi!!" "Man, this is getting too ridiculous." "Orr, Exelby, Mayers, Primeau, Beauchemin and Komisarek, what a bunch of garbage." Oh dear
