I like the duration. 3rd and 4th line players' contracts need to be more modest than when Gainey was running the ship. I like Pyatt, but hope this deal is for somewhere around the $800,000 mark only, and not more. We need to be careful going forward with our cap dollars. Yes, 1 year is nice. $800K would be ideal, but I wouldn't be surprised or dissapointed if it was more like $1M. I would say he has a more offensive upside then your typical defensive forward/grinder.
