ColRouleBleu
There was no one listed to create the thread so I'll volunteer. We dont know much as I open the thread Who will start in nets? Martin to announce on game day (my little finger whispers to me that it will be Price but hey, we never know) so TBA Forwards lines: we have no news on Gionta's injury so a bit hard to anticipate the lines (my little finger, the same, whispers to me that Gionta's situation doesn't look very good so he shouldn't play) again TBA Defense pairings: OB seems ready to go but will he get the green light from the docs? (my little finger, I should consider shutting it up, whispers to me that even if OB is good to go, JM will wait until the weekend) so here again TBA The one thing we DO know is that eventhough it's not quite the 'season' yet, we get to watch / listen to a hockey game between CAROLINA CANDY CANES vs MONTREAL CANADIENS @ BELL CENTRE 7:30 PM EST TV: RDS (HD) Radio: CJAD (English) CKAC (French) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wish everyone courage and patience to be able to watch the whole game and maybe enjoy it a lil' bit In the words of Andrei Markov: "We have to score goals, we gotta win this, you know" GO!!! HABS!!! GO!!!
justreal
We should obviously see Price in nets tonight...hopefully we'll get these supposedly 2 easy pts...and hope it will be the turning point. GO HABS GO!!

FanFromAB
I am starting to feel it, it's gotta be close, there it is; I'm not longer a realist! Positive vibes are running through me! We will score more goals than the Carolina Hurricanes on Mechant Mardi!
spyVSspy
What is an easy win? Just because we are playing Carolina, don't mean it's going to be easy.Cane's still have great players such as Staal,Cole,Whitney,Brindamour,Ruutu. It's their defense that's killing them, but against us...they might not have to worry too much Plus these damn refs seem to be making us the Raiders of the NHL,keep calling ***** penalties and giving us the least PP's on average. If we drop to 9-12 instead of go up to 10-11 I will be so disappointed! PLEASE HABS PLAY YOUR HEARTS OUT.

Kubby31
Reallyyyyyyyyyyyy hoping that WHOEVER'S in goal......that this team STOP playing like crap.....and give some team support out there for netminder. It's becoming shameless. In no way shape or form should our habs take the WOUNDED canes for granted. So,on that note....LETS GO HABSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
NickThaHitman42
ok, were facing the hurricanes, we can do this. their last place, and manny legacy hasn't won since joining the canes... all we need to do is put price in nets, hope he has another outstanding game, and SCOREEEEE SCOREEEEEEEE ...Please? koreysecord1992
Coming of their first win in a while, I'm sure Carolina will be especially hungry, which will make a team we usually have trouble against even more challenging. Being Staal-less and Ward-less will help Montreal's chances, but none of that will matter if we don't SCORE.

RSD
This will not be an "easy" win and I hope to God that the players on the Montreal Canadiens have figured it out by now. That is, when any team plays against the Montreal Canadiens, they come out playing like it is Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Teams play with desperation against teams like Montreal because they know we can blow them out on a regular basis, we do not have a garbage team. Therefore, even though the Canes are without Staal and Ward does not mean that we are guaranteed this win. This team needs to step it up a notch from now to the end of the season. For those who think this team isn't capable, I think it is. We have seen that this team can dominate, the offense and defense need to get it into gear now. Every game can be won, it just depends on the players showing up. Three games this week, two back to back. Is this game a must win? No, but it sure is a needed one. So Les Boys, Les Glorieux, Le Bleu Blanc et Rouge, Le Club Athletique Canadien or just the Montreal Canadiens, here is what I say to you. Wake up, shake off whatever it is holding you back, show up and play hard. Clean passes, short passes, fancy goals or garbage goals it all counts. Grinders keep grinding, fliers keep flying. Hard on the fore-check Harder on the back-check. Boys, in one hundred years they will still be talking about the Montreal Canadiens and its ups and downs. Each one of you and your play ill decide whether they talk about you and how. So get out on that sheet of ice and don't look back. There is only one path for this team and that is greatness. Make it so boys, make it so. (and if you dont...bag skate tomorrow )
I1IscottieI1I
how much you want to bet even after Price's performance last game JM will go with Halak because of his Win and your in policy it really is stupid since you win games as a team and a goalie cannot win a game for you as was proven last game when Price kept the game within 1 goal up until the last what 7 minutes giving our team many opportunities to come back and tie it. I think I finally found something I don't like about JM and thats how he picks his starter......

I find that to be extremely bothersome too. And please don't get me wrong because Price had a great game the other night. But yet again he couldn't come up with that big save early and Nashville scored the first goal early. Up until that goal I thought the play was pretty even. Then it seems the team folds for whatever reason and Price settles in. I thought Price did a lousy job of stickhandling too which seems to throw off the rhythm. Halak has a much simpler stickhandling game IMO. I'm never quite sure what Price is going to do with the puck. He's lucky he hasn't had more goals scored against because of his stickhandling. Halak botched one up too but that game was a foregone conclusion. It only cost him a shutout.
ComradeRuskie
Metropolit replaces the injured Brian Gionta on the top line with Scott Gomez and Mike Cammalleri. From Habs inside/out.
77bourque77
From Habs inside/out. saw that too... im not knocking metro, he is one of the few that are earning what little money he makes. but why cant AK play on the top line ?? we have better options then metro... or do we. I thought there was a juicy rebound in the midst of a line change. I could be wrong. I just remember a rush by the Gomez line and a scoring opportunity at the other end. The play came back to our end and the Gomez line went off but it doesn't matter because it doesn't change a thing. As for Metro......the only reasoning I can think of is that he is about Gionta's size. We have to maintain that Smurf presence, don't you know? There are about a handful of players I truly feel sorry for because this team has been dumped on their lap. If AK46 plays on the fourth line I'm honestly going to flip out I think. I'm beginning to really question JM now.
