ColRouleBleu
I'll keep things simple because it seems that when I do so, we win and when I go all out with images, we lose. Naah, actually the real reason is that I'm stil floating from the Washington game So here we go again, the underdogs fresh out of a surprising but deserved win playing against an elite team fresh out of an OT loss. The Habs will dress 20 captains for that game as all players will be wearing a big C on their jerseys (they wont all wear number 79 though ) as shown by Brian below who took to modeling to accupy his time while nursing a foot fracture The lineups are obviously not known as I open the thread but my personal gut feelings are that Price will get the net once more and that Laraque or another forward will be scratched to dress seven D. And then, there's the Gomez situation. It really doesn't look good and if I rely onthe RDS guys (they may often be annoying but still, they're the ones travelling with the team), Gomez has been playing hurt for a little while. Last Saturday against Nashville, Houde was surprised by Gionta's forfeit, he was expecting Gomez no call it quits. He said then, and repeated again tonight that Gomez was not walking normally. Sooooooo........ another injury..... what else is new eh? OK, I'm done with the blabla, here are a few stats from each team ... HABSWINGS ... andGO!!! HABS!!! GO!!! roy_133
Well this is going to be a tough one that's for sure. All I wanted was the split in these 2 which we already have so a win tonight would be gravy. Halak will probably get the call and he needs to keep the ball rolling in terms of good goaltending and we just need to play smart. Fatigue isn't an excuse, Detroit also played last night and went into OT before losing to Florida 2-1 so hopefully the scoring problems continue tonight, lol. I1IscottieI1I
id play price tonight if he isn't tired. then split the back to back games on tuesday and wednesday. who do we call up if Gomez is hurt. Do we run with this for our center Plek Metro Lappierre Chip Or do we call up ben maxwell and stick him in the 2nd pairing.

Flying_Lion
Well, last night was certainly something to draw momentum from. Tonight's game should be interesting. Both teams played and travelled last night. Detroit's game, though, went a little longer but I doubt something like that will have a big impact on the outcome. As challenged as the Red Wings have been, there is absolutely no reason to relax on this one. This is the first chance to get above .500 since, what? our second game? Probably will be just coming around form the CIS football games this afternoon when this one starts so I expect to start the game on the couch with a big headache. Hopefully there'll be lots to get excited about. Nothing cures like a good arse-kicking. GO HABS GO!
Chunwah
Well, if Gomez is out for tonight, I was thinking of switching "Cammerli"(because I can't spell his name normally LOL) to center where he does pretty good and calling up Sergei to play with him and Moen. Or maybe someone other than Moen, but if there's a time we could use another top-6 forward, it is now.
Team-Gainey
In back-to-back games, it's always better to use a "fresh" goaltender. So, despite the impressive play of Carey, Halak should get the start. JM should be speially careful now with Price since he's regained his confidence once again & the team is playing with confidence in front of him. It's much better to bring Price along this way & not the way BG has forced the issue. (It's like sticking a young soldier back out on the battlefield time and again after his squad sustained heavy losses - a kind of PTSD) The team played well in Washington last nite and may be in for a let-down this evening. I wouldn't risk it. Price should enjoy the nite off. It's time to take the long-view of this team, don't heap too much pressure in the minds of the young guys, to give them an opportunity to find their game. I don't expect this team to make the playoffs come the Spring, but I do want to see the young guys given every opportunity to hone their skills to see if they can do something next year. To get some first round draft picks would go a long way to establish a real 5 year plan to be a genuine Cup contender & not just a lot of phoney words from some General Manager. ColRouleBleu
No morning skate today (Martin decided to rest everyone). So the news about who starts in nets and the health/injury updates will most likely come in quite late in the day.

maddienmike
After last night I think Carey should have a night off, if we play with the same team spirit we did last night we will do well, it really showed there was no dirty looks and every one seemed to try a bit harder, thats what we need I still think we need a captain Saku used to get the guys going there is no one doing that job now, every team needs a leader Goodluck tonight Love you guys GO HABS GO :D
imdocrob
I say enough is enough already, if Gomer can't go tonite Gainey needs to stop acting like a spoiled child and let SK come up and play. Both could be game-time decisions. No callups announced. from habsinsideout.com going back with price eh?? i duno man, i would have given halak the start because its a back-to-back but im not an nhl coach... swimmerpuck
Well c'mon boys. Your weekend of work isn't finished yet. Let's notch another win tonight. Last night's win reminded me of how Carolina won the Stanley Cup. Heart, soul, sweat, blocked shots and smothering the opponent in our zone giving them almost no room to operate.
