I was wondering when this was going to be posted! Nice GD thread. ;)

So... Andrei Kostitsyn.

Possibly injured.

Snap!

Assuming he isn't playing, I guess my projected lines would be:

David Desharnais - Tomas Plekanec - Mike Cammalleri

Max Pacioretty - Glen Metropolit - Travis Moen

Sergei Kostitsyn - Maxim Lapierre - Ryan White

Tom Pyatt - Kyle Chipchura - JT Wyman

not a fan of starting Price like this. for one thing, even when Halak was winning, and Price was HORRIBLE, he still got the starts on back-to-back games, and for another thing, he's been worked hard the past few games, he could really use a rest and Halak needs to get some play time. If Price gets injuried this game, it's on Martin. Not a fan of this move at all. If Carey is tired and has a horrible game, what if he gets down on himself again and loses a bit of confidence?

Desharnais on the first line? i dont think that will happen. and sk COULD be mopved to the top 6..... ?

no way we win this one

Is Andrei seriously injured? Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

This is seriously getting crazy. Look at that forward roster! By my count we've got exactly five players that were a lock to be on the team at the beginning of the year (Pleky, Cammalleri, Metro, Moen, Laps) and only two were supposed to be on one of the top two lines.

I think the lines that J_R put up are about the best we're going to do, but after looking at them I've got just one question: When does the pre-season end???

He's had five really solid games in a row now, including a couple that were truly gems, so I'm not too worried about his confidence at this point no matter how he plays tonight. Injury is always a possibility (and boy, would that not just ice the cake) but he is young and a trained athlete and playing a bunch in a row this early in the season is probably not going to tire him out that much.

The way I see it we've got too inexperienced a team with all these injuries to not play the hot goaltender. Even last night in the third, when we generally had the momentum, there were still a few rushes and mistakes that Carey needed to be really solid on. I'm not saying that I don't think Halak would play well, because I'm sure he would, but Carey has been playing on another level for a few games now. Keep him in as long as he's in the zone.

Maybe we should just bench ALL of our regulars and play the entire Hamilton team. Just take the loss, give everyone a game's rest, and move onto the weekend against Washington.

why not forfeit so no one gets injured? ;)

good grief. this is going to be tough. a pt would be a minor miracle.

throw sergei onto the top line and make him earn his pay. :P

GO HABS GO !!!

Keep Carey between the pipes because he is dynamite right now & we need to ride him for a while with such a MASH unit for a team right now. But maybe just maybe the guys in front of him can help him out for THREE periods tonight.

Plus I heard a rumour that sid & malkin are not getting along right now.

See for yourself!

The reason why Martin kept giving Price games once in while when Halak played well is because in his mind, Price was always his number 1 goalie so he wanted to see if he could respond well finally. Now that he's doing fantastic, he should keep playing. The guy is certainly not tired, he's so young and in top shape, there's no way he feels fatigue or whatever. Unless he, himself, tells Martin that he'd rather take a little break, there's no reason to pull him out when he's on fire like that

Sorry, Cindy Crysby will be in tears after this game! Beaten by the AHL he'll never live it down.
