Guest
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=300652 My opinion on this one,,,,,,,,,,burn it down. We dont need this type of shrine in Ontario. Every day that building stands up, is a reminder of the crimes that went on behind closed doors during the Ballard years.
Mauro-Biello
Eesh habs fans... It seems like a good idea. I probably like this better than what they did with the old Forum.

Yes it does, its a sin what they did to the Forum. Makes me sad whenever I pass it. I'm sure they could have donated it to Mcgill, Concordia or even Dawson college its right next door. JHaul
I agree with the original poster on this one. Wasting 20 million dollars of tax payers money to preserve a building with such a tainted past is wrong. Why not just have us pay for bronze statues of the creeps while you're at it. Well its obviously (at least hopefully) not a testament to Ballard, Smythe etc. but more to the history of great players who played there.

Guest
Well its obviously (at least hopefully) not a testament to Ballard, Smythe etc. but more to the history of great players who played there. I compare this to the Bernardo situation in St.Kitts. They tore his house down and turned it into a park with a memorial in the center. Many years later they rebuilt a new building on the site. Think of the victims and their families, who walk by ( if they can) MLG. I try to place myself in their shoes and its why i say BURN IT DOWN. As Jhaul said,,,,to spend 20 million of tax payers money to renovate that horror house is a travesty. They can honour the great players of the past at the ACC just as the Habs have done at the Bell. I wasn't speaking in terms of management or player personnel. I was referring to the abuse that had taken place there over the years.
