--------------------------------------------------------------------

Notable but not surprising exclusions include Buffalo's Zach Kassian and Minnesota's Tyler Cuma. Kassian has been having a bad year and his lack of discipline may have been a red flag while Cuma has yet to recover properly from last year's injury.

The 2010 prospects are Hall, Seguin, Gormley and Mcfarland. Hall seems like a lock with Seguin probably going to grab at least a lower role.

Hodgson while still hurt may be able to participate if his back heals up right, and he'll fit in perfectly on a top line with Hall and Eberle.

It'll be good to see Cowen play a significant role too for Canada after last year's unfortunate injury. Bourque from Nashville was a surprising invite, also Dylan Olsen will one to watch on a significant stage.

Pietrangelo may participate too since St. Louis deemed him unready to play in the NHL apparently. Deslauriers while a good player, may be hard-pressed to make the team.

Possible 3rd- 4th liners include Cody Eakin, Scott Glennie, Louis LeBlanc, Cormier, and Della Rovere. Nazem Kadri is an outsider, possible a Evander Kane like role from last year if needed same with Caron.

Will be great to see De Haan on a top 4.

Projected Top 6 forwards:

Hall-Hodgson-Eberle

Nesmisz- Schenn- Seguin/Glennie.

Projected starting goalie is St. Louis's Jake Allen, with Minnesota's Matt Hackett afterwards.

Will be back soon with USA, Russia and Sweeden stuff.

Looking forward to this thread, thanks for getting it going Moneypuck. Nice to see Leblanc invited - do the Habs have any other prospects already in the system that might turn up at this tournament?

Danny Kristo U.S.

Mike Cichy U.S.

Maxim Trunev Russia

Joonas Nattinen Finland

Notable omissions were Avystyn from team Russia.

Probably the only lock is Kristo.

God I hate this tournament.

I actually love the tournament. Maybe overhyped but it gives me the opportunity to watch some of the draft eligible prospects and the already-drafted top prospects in action.

Last year was some pretty good hockey, Canada-USA & Canada-Russia. ;)

TSN overhypes it & everything else big tine.

that's why i watch rds. mcguire is more than i can handle during nhl games but he goes bonkers during this tournament.

C'mon McGuire is a monster.

Yes I can't stand him either but I'll take him over CBC & Bob Cole.

Even though I can't understand I like to watch on RDS as well to hear et le but.

From what has been posted about Benoit Brunet I'm glad I don't know what he is saying!

 too true. brunet is rds' mcguire but i can tune him out easy enough - at least, we don't have to look at him between the benches and he doesn't cover the world juniors. ;)
