gracie12
I actually brought myself to watch Twilight the other night. Twilight: 5/10 Better than I thought it would be, but still annoying and terrible lol. My wife made me sit through it. Id agree with "better than I though it would be" and "annoying and terrible" lol. At least watching Kristen Stewart for 2 hrs sweetened the deal. they're going to make another, and then I think another. Maybe another one after that Lol. I think only 2 more - arent there only 4 books? I just actually watched the Blindside - and wow, great flick. Really well done, top rate acting & at 45 or whatever she is, Sandra Bullock is still smokin' hot (although I prefer her with dark hair & less obvious makeup)

Yep, only 4, but I heard there's supposed be another one. I could be wrong though, and I really hope I am "Do I dazzle you?" No, Edward. No you do not. Rondalsf
Yep. I think it has to do with being brought up by my grandparents...one set of which are/were big movie buffs. I am a Habs fan because of my grandpa. Went to his house Saturday evening in the mid to late 70's to watch HNIC. That was back when the Habs were on every second weekend & always on CBC french. Keep me informed on your movie watching!

That was back when the Habs were on every second weekend & always on CBC french. Keep me informed on your movie watching! I became a Habs fan because of my paternal grandmother; she's a first generation immigrant to the States via Québec. She doesn't follow sports much, but when I was flipping through a commemorative book about the Stanley Cup once she pointed to a picture of Maurice Richard and started telling me all about him. That was the trigger, but it took a few years for my devotion to blossom. I was young at the time and my mother and maternal grandfather were/are Bruins fans so I was heavily under their influence. To stay on topic: I'll be sure to mention in here whenever I watch a movie.

roy_133
The Hangover 6/10. It had it's moments. The problem was it was so hyped up that I went in expected to be blown away and I wasn't, if I hadn't heard anything about the movie prior to seeing it I'd likely have given it a 7-7.5. I4I-vc4
You know, I like Guy Ritchie & I like RDJ, but that accent was abysmal. If they cant get an actor to actually pull of the accent, why not just let him speak with is own voice - or find a different actor. It was distracting, frustrating & in some cases, cringe-worthy. Reminds me a lot of Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator: A great performance absolutely destroyed by trying to put on an accent he cant handle. Really? I actually liked it. It sounded nice to me, I thought it fit the character.

gracie12
Really? I actually liked it. It sounded nice to me, I thought it fit the character. See, I didnt have a problem with Ritchie turning Holmes from an upperclass brit to a cockney, but I had problems with the way downey's accent faded in & out. He was completely inconsistent. In some scenes (one would assume later in the shooting) he was actually quite good & consistent but in others it sounded hideous. In some ways this was worse because it made me feel like if they'd spent another month on the accent before they started shooting, it would have been much better, but such is life.
