Kubby31
Junior hockey linesman in hospital after skates cuts his neck Written by The Canadian Press WOODSTOCK, Ont. - A 25-year-old hockey linesman is in hospital after a frightening accident during a Junior C game in Woodstock, Ont. Kevin Brown's neck was cut by a skate late in a game between the Woodstock Renegades and New Hamburg Firebirds. Brown was initially reported to be in stable condition, but Bill McLeod, the owner of the Woodstock Renegades, says he's been told Brown is "not doing so well now." Sources tell London radio station AM980 that Brown is listed in critical condition. Two players fell to the ice during a scrum and one of their skates came up and cut the linesman. The game was stopped with the scored tied 4-4 and the Ontario Hockey Association will later rule on how the game should end. How many times have we heard of something like this happening to hockey players, let alone linesman/refs in the game. Prayers are with this man & his family.
