Bastian_mtl
Cliff Burton was truly awesome. Too young to pass . Rex Brown (Pantera, Down) was definately overshadowed by Dimebag...very under-rated, but very good. Perfect compliment to Vinnie and Dime. Lemmy (Motorhead), and John Entwistle (The Who) I noticed were absent from your list. "The Real Me" (The Who), awesome! If you're into Satanic Metal, Glen Benton (Deicide) is actually pretty good. Stuff's pretty basic, for the most part, but damn fast. I guess it always impresses me when a bassist (or guitarist for that matter) also sings, which he does. Don't know much about their newer stuff (ever since the original guitarists left) but the older stuff was great. Anyways....
MLSE_Mgmt_A_Disgrace
All I know about bassists is the old joke "How can you tell the floor is level? The drool comes out both sides of the bassist's mouth"

Anyways.... oh yes john entwistle how could i forget ,glad to see someone pointed it out very revolutionary bassist which reminds me of another great bassist from that era brian wilson from the beach boy's who was a core writer of the band. and yes who could forget lemmy and his rickenbacher bass and a marlboro cigarette hanging from his mouth.
