Rondalsf
Sources tell TSN Edmonton Oilers general manager Steve Tambellini has a list of at least six teams Sheldon Souray would waive his no-trade clause to join, assuming one of these teams is willing to accept the gamble presented in Souray's surgically-repaired hand. Anaheim, Dallas and the Los Angeles Kings are listed as the three Western Conference teams on Souray's wish list, while somewhat surprisingly, the Eastern Conference is well represented as well in Washington, Philadelphia and the New York Rangers. It's believed Souray, who had surgery on Tuesday to correct the damage sustained in a fight with Calgary Flames captain Jarome Iginla on Saturday, has every intention of returning to the ice before the end of the regular season and expects to be playoff-ready. Souray is among several Edmonton players who remain on the trade market, but team sources say it's doubtful a deal will be made before the February 12th roster freeze. Very interesting list of teams. I pray he doesn't end up with the Flyers (a team I CAN'T STAND) I'd rather he stay out west (even if it means we don't get to see him much). Miss his slapshot on the ice...miss his heart and personality off the ice.

Or am I mistaking Souray for Streit? At least we're pressuring them rather then them pressuring us....for now?

I think your right, I would taken Markov any day of the week over Souray Just look how many Souray's we've found to replace him each season. I think it was him or streit streit left us at the end of 2007-2008 and souray left us after the 2006-2007 season I almost cried (not kidding) when I learned souray left he was my fave player...man that shot was sick

Lol, well when you put it that way....you're right, i'd rather have Gill's many minor screw ups rather than Souray's constant poor defensive plays that always resulted in goals for the opposition

RSD
hell yeah IMO remember this??? yeah but then we'd have a 6 million dollar injury-prone dman who is past his prime...souray isnt worth what hes being paid...hes got a shot and thats it...should mab get 6 million dollars...i think not...the only guy we should have kept was striet...cause we could have got him for 3/4 million... I think he could have settled for less with the habs...he fit in perfectly with markov on the PP and 26 goals with 19 on the PP and a career high 64 points is not what I call past his prime

SyrianHabsFan
He wouldn't, that's why he walked and went to the oilers lol ok but he was FAR from past his prime he was coming from his best season and the only reason he is playing bad with the oilers is because their team is horrible

I agree, but he can be that souray again if used properly. He's still not doing THAT bad overall, souray had 53 points last year, including 23 goals. This season; however, 13 points in 39 games and -19 lol.
