Nice GDT. And I would really like to see PK Subban step up in this game. He was really, really good last night, and was important in getting our offense started in all 3 goals. Granted, he was the only player that played really well last night. If everyone steps up to his level, we could definitely win. Especially if we have good goaltending. Who's in net?

I agree with you regarding P.K. especially the way you phrased it as.."really,really good..".

The rest of the team didn't play really, really good.....

Overall we didn't play too badly although I feel we lost the game vs. them winning it outright!

We made a few glaring mental mistakes that cost us the game ie. too many men and the delay of game penalties.

I don't feel good about the loss but feel confident that we can learn from that game and play better.

Here's to a big game tomorrow....Go Habs Go!!

On Friday, the Habbies were bound for a let down, after the Cpas win........their heads weren't in the space they were supposed to be.

To say they came out ready for game one, would be a lie.

They were still playing with the same strategies they used on the Caps.

The Pens are a far better team than the Caps.

Halak was tired....you could see it in his play.......JM should have pulled him after 2 goals sailed by.......the goals weren't his fault.....I know.......but the team...needed a swift kick to their butts......to wake them up from the upset dream their were still living.........

Putting Price in nets at that point....would have forced the team to shift gears.......force them to adjust to the Pens play....shift-by-shift

The team just needed that proverbial shaking....to wake them from the collective trance

The Pens scored 4 PP's.....it means in getting the penalities.....the concentration wasn't there

The special teams....were disoriented of the PK

Price was that cold bucket of water....they could have used....when the game was still within grasp

But JM didn't understand that.....by the time Price came out it was too late to send a message to anyone.....including Price who only had 3 shots

Markov....is gone for game 2....after ??????

He was the workhorse....the go to guy that steadied the defence

Hard to replace his talent.......but replace it they must

No time to cry is spilt beer

The Pens will grind our top line down......hitting them every chance they get.......the cracks in our guy's play will become evident in game 4 and beyond

Halak will have to become better than he was in the series against the Caps..........and he knows that.......

He can't let more than 1 goal in a game....to give his team a cahnce

The shotblocking will have to make adjustments

And they better unpack their halos & stay out of the penalty box

They can do this.......but it will be very hard

The team will have to become like shadows to Crosby & Malkin

HABS GOT THIS!!! we can't give them stupid penalties, if we don't do that we will have a huge chance at winning!!! :D

They have to have absolute faith in their goaltending.........meaning....no penalities....that's a sure fire way of taking away one of the Pens offensive weapons they use to win games

Without Markov.......you can't strain the defence corps any thinner......by taking penalities

Turn the other cheek.........use the mind game.....frustrate them

This team is better than the Caps........we have to play smarter.....and Halak has to be better than in the first series....no simple task....I know....but that's what the team needs

Game 2 & 3 will tell us much

Loved the GDT Tessin good job

I did write a poem for game one but it's on the last page so I don't think anyone will read it so here it is

So game one was a setback

That's OK we can handle that

Markov injured that's a blow

What will happen we don't know

But one things for sure

We will fight even more

We are not giving up

We want that cup

GO HABS GO :D :D

Here's one for game 2

Players say there is no excuse

Pens don't know it was a ruse

To give them a false sense of security

Feed their feeling of superiority

Now we go out and blast

Knowing those feelings won't last

Now we will show them we are not lazy

We'll make them spin make them hazy

Show some speed show our skill

This is the giant we have to kill

We can do it we know the way

We are the HABS and are here to stay

GO HABS GO :D :D

Well, we've upset Washington, turned the hockey world on its head, and had our goalkeeper praised out of his mind. And that's what's worrying me.

There's no pressure on you as the underdog. There's tons of pressure when you're the next Jesus Price, so to speak (remember 2008?). All of a sudden, a lot of people had a lot of expectations from this rag-tag bunch of smurfs, and I think combined with the fatigue, it all went to their heads the other night. They were living in dreamland, high as a kite up on cloud nine, and drop-dead tired from the game 7 battle.

Given all that, they could not have won that last hockey game, period. Pittsburgh could only have lost it, and they did not.

Now, time to face facts, and I hope our Habs do. The Pens are an elite team, and the defending stanley cup champs. This is no walk in the park, and everyone is predicting once again, despite our success against the Caps, that we, again the massive underdogs, haven't a hope in hell.

That's been the winning attitude for this team, and I can only hope they realize it.

Here we are again, in the second round, Playing with House Money.

Nothing to lose.
