Russia and USA will do anything to beat Canada

Well when you go around claiming "its our game" and play a style that usually ends up injuring or aggravating the other team, its a good formula for pissing off the other hockey powerhouses.

Imagine if the US wins, WJC, U 18, U 17, Six Nations all Gold finishes and Silver at the Olympics.

Denmark 4 - Finland 1

Denmark stole 3 points from Finland with the lead of NHLers Frans Nielsen and Peter Regin. Nielsen scored two goals (one empty netter) and Regin made it 2-0 Denmark after a stunning deke that pointed out why 18-year old finnish defender Sami Vatanen has been criticized for poor defensive skills. Denmark managed to defend their 2 goal lead even though they took 14 minutes of penalties! Also, Danish goaltender Andersen played a dream game with 35 saves while finnish colleague Pekka Rinne was left with only 13. If Finland loses any of their remaining games against Germany and the US they are very close to facing relegation round!

This is my small review of the game and I'm sorry if I made mistakes with the language but hey, I bet my english is better than your Finnish ;)

BTW. Canada 5 - Italy 1. I guess this is the game your more interested in ^_^

Denmark did it again! USA 1 - DEN 2 OT

Denmark played an awesome game, they played bravely and never backed up. Even in OT they played with 3 forwards! The game winning goal was Stefan Lassens show, he got the puck behind his own net, proceeded to the US blueline, shot towards US goalie Scott Clemmensen, picked up his own rebound, and scored!

And to make this post interesting for you I will remind you that Canada plays later this evening against Latvia :)

next game's switzerland, which is 2-0-0 too, but there is no nhl player, no streit, no hiller and no sbisa. they play with a little more offense than last time at the olympics, the new coach simpson want them to play with an agressive forechecking. if the defense is still good as usual (why does Josi not play in the nhl??) it could be a real test for your canadian team.

may the better team win - ;) don't forget, it is still preliminary round.

And don't forget Jannik Hansen!

I love how countries are really making big strides in hockey, like Denmark, Slovenia and Hungary. And this year's 3rd Division world championship saw the debut of the United Arab Emirates in IIHF competition.

I don't know how they are doing now, but Swiss hockey made a huge statement in the WJC's and the Olympics. Swiss hockey is on the rise. I love seeing the world become so competitive at hockey.

I agree. It's gonna be nice to have some more competitive nations in a few years, so it's not a Sweden-Canada-Russia-USA tourney all the time.
