I'll be very surprised if both Spacek and Gill are not in the lineup. The bigger question will be what can they contribute. I suspect Gorges, Hammer and Subban will take the bulk of the minutes. If Gill can take some PK (not Subban) minutes that would be great. Hopefully Spacek can chip in with some PP and ES minutes.

It will be interesting to watch JM shuffle the D. And the Habs will have to backcheck like crazy. And Halak will have to be, well Halak. LOL

Gill skates briefly after morning warmup

Hal Gill, nursing a cut to a leg after a Game 5 collision with Penguins' Chris Kunitz, skated briefly following the Canadiens' morning workout at the Bell Centre and said he hopes to play tonight in Game 6. Head coach Jacques Martin said a decision will be made on Gill's availability following tonight's pregame warmup.

Jaroslav Spacek is a game-time decision, and Martin has ruled out Andrei Markov tonight. Asked whether he might use seven defencemen should both Gill and Spacek be ready to go, the coach said, "Everything is possible."

Markov skated, in equipment, before the team, as did fellow D Paul Mara

Not only possible, probable. Its not like we haven't been running mostly 3 forward lines and in games 6 and 7, facing elimination, the bench will only get shorter. Dress 7 guys if both Spacek and gill are ready.

There WILL be a game 7. BOOK IT!!!

I'll see ya there. B)

as per Habs I/O @ 10:32 this morning

"Hal Gill, nursing a cut to a leg after a Game 5 collision with Penguins' Chris Kunitz, is not taking part in the Canadiens' morning skate at the Bell Centre. We expect head coach Jacques Martin to say that Gill is a game-time decision.

Oh Hockey Gods....Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

nothing short of a miracle for Markov to be there tonight

Not Happening.

So in a nutshell, we're waiting until after the pre-game warmup for a yay or nay on Gill, Markov's a no go, and Spacek is also a game-time decision. What happens if it's no to Gill and no to Spacek? We only dress 5 D-men?

Impossible ... there is question about Gill but Spacek is now OK because he needs separation from the team and if he skate in training he is healty for sure...

gut feeling: both spacek and gill will play. why would martin let the pens know in advance who will put cindy in a box tonight? ;)

what an oppourtunity we have here this year, that chance may never come again. the number one seed is gone... we are capable of taking out the cup champs here and who would be there in the east finals the Bruins? not to get too far ahead but this is a year that you have to take advantage of.

Was just like the year the canes won. Had we beaten them, I think there would have been a fairly clear road to the cup.

come to think of it, JM should also have said Markie game time decision eventhough he knows he wont play.

That would be cruel punishment for Habs fans though.
