Mathradio
I know that the Canadiens have a good crowd, a noisy crowd (so noisy that some fans consider bringing earplugs when going to Canadiens games) but I have a couple of questions pertaining to the crowds: 1. What teams have the best crowds? 2. What teams have the worst crowds? 3. What teams have the noisiest crowds? 4. What teams have the quietest crowds? EHIW
1. What teams have the best crowds? Us Toronto Carolina (Personal Experience from when I went to the RBC in 2007 to watch CAR and FLA) Chicago Detroit Edmonton 2. What teams have the worst crowds? Phoenix Florida Ottawa (especially vs Toronto, when the Leafs basically fill up half of SBP) 3. What teams have the noisiest crowds? Us Chicago Philadelphia 4. What teams have the quietest crowds? Pittsburgh Phoenix
Mathradio
Ottawa has one of the more volatile crowds in the entire hockey world. By that, I mean that they can sell out the SBP (or the Palladium to some) when their team is on a winning streak and it could be only 2/3 full otherwise. Philadelphia and Detroit have some of the nastier crowds in the NHL.

Mathradio
Noise levels in NHL arenas: - HP Pavilion during a regular-season game: 112 dB - United Center in the 2010 SCF Game #2 (national anthems): 122 dB - Bell Centre in the 2010 ECF Game #3 (when Cammalleri scored the first goal of the Habs in the series): 133 dB - RBC Center in the 2006 SCF Game #7: 133 dB The latter 2 could buzz ears of players for days after these games... Dintrox12
Loud arenas: How about the HSBC arena in Buffalo when the Habs are visiting? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9xPU-dC5b0 sorry couldn't find video from the game!

Mathradio
That being said, the Bell Center's acoustics are what could make 21,273 Habs fans louder than a Metallica concert played in the same venue.
