Fanpuck33
It looks nicer though How does neon green look nice on a red, white, and blue logo? Yuck! (I realize in that pic is doesn't look neon green, but as a CBJ jersey owner, it's without a doubt neon green.)
Mathradio
Come on! The Jackets haven't used that logo for 3 years! That's their "alternate" logo...
Fanpuck33
That's their "alternate" logo... Nope, they don't use the old logo at all. The only two logos on their jerseys are the main logo of a star draped by a variation of the Ohio Flag and a shoulder patch featuring a Union soldier's hat. The Jackets are unveiling an alternate jersey in November, but sources say that the logo will feature a canon. More than likely, it will be a variation of a logo that they already use on some merchandise items:

Kid-Canada_mtl
Poor Columbus, they arent really that bad just in the best division in the Western Conference (by far). That and their defense is probably the worst in the conference. Time to trade away some players at the next two deadlines (other than their core) and get some picks and cap space to go after a free agent center. Fanpuck33
It will definitely be an interesting season. The team is still largely the same as the club that made the playoffs the year before last. The question is can Scott Arniel return the team to that level or will they repeat last year's miserable season? I think the younger players will have a much better chance of reaching their potential now. Hitchcock tended to either run guys into the ground (Filatov) or give them way more ice time than they deserve (Kris Russell, his entire rookie season). I think the new staff will do a better job of putting young player in roles in which they can succeed. Hitchcock just kept driving to drive square pegs into round holes. 3 keys: 1. Steve Mason needs to fully return to form. He looked better in the last month or so, so the outlook there is hopeful. 2. Nikita Filatov needs to add offensive spark to the team. 3. John Moore needs to make the team to provide them with a useful puck mover from the blue line.
Fanpuck33
And the Jackets give Steve Mason a contract even richer than Prices - 5.8 million over 2 years. Oy. I believe in Mason more than I do Price, but those are both ridiculous contracts for goalies who still have a lot to prove.
S-Bah
I can see the Bluejackets squeezing into the playoffs in the west as Colorado slips.
Forever_Habs10
Craig Rivet, who was on re-entry waivers, goes from the Buffalo Sabres to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Rivet, in his 15th season in the NHL, will join the Blue Jackets after playing in 23 games for the Sabres this season. The native of North Bay, Ontario was Buffalo's captain despite being a healthy scratch several times this year. Rivet was minus-5 with one goal and two assists when he did get into the lineup. The 36-year-old has 49 goals and 187 assists in 909 career games. Rivet will bring eight years of playoff experience to a Columbus team that is in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race. 31Careyprice
They gotta trade for Hemsky. They would create the best 1st line in the NHL and their fans would have something to get excited about. Hemsky-Carter-Nash

Hemsky-Carter-Nash Ryan Perry Getzlaf is still better imo.
