Kind of excited for the Lightning this season. Marty is locked up, got a couple quality FA's. Stamkos, Downie and Hedman are another year wiser. And I think we have a winning combo in Guy and Yaz. If they find a winger to compliment Vinny this year (or he tries to play to his ability) this could be a playoff contender. The last 2 years they just played damn lazy (except for a select few)

They should have a good team this year... But like I've said for a while now, St Louis made Vinny who he was, if you want vintage Vinny back, they'll have to put St Louis on his wing.

But then lose Stamkos's production, heh.

Makes me wonder about last year and Tanguay's awful year. Vinny relies on good wingers for his points. I wonder if Tangers relies on the center for his? If thats the case, it would explain why both did so horribly last year. Bad playstyle chemistry.

So with a line up of:

Downie/Stamkos/St Louis

Teddy/Vinny/X

And replace X with a solid puck feeding winger, this team could be dangerous. And they made the D a bit better by bringing Kubina back. Still need 1 or 2 more D men.

What a steal for the Lightning adding Simon Gagne. Great work Stevie Y....you are a genious off the ice as well. ;)

For a rookie GM, I've got to admit he seems to be doing a lot of good in a very short period of time. Tampa has what could be some pretty devastating forwards. If their D and goaltending can keep up, this could be a very fast turnaround for the franchise.

Not to mention he's doing it all with Vinny's ginormous contract in place, playing as his second line centre.

Im on the very top row. About $320 after taxes and fees. Below the last 7 rows, it costs more then that for half a season. This is my first year as a STH. But for 41 games (Ill never go to half of them probably due to work) it works out to like $7 a game or something. And I can always move down. But thats probably the price for a game ticket in Montreal or Toronto for a lower section seat.

Tickets are expensive here, at least in Montreal we can still get tickets during the season. Not like Toronto where all the companies buy up all the tickets to give out to employees/partners.

I do take the desjardins seats (food and drinks included-except beer), which are kinda pricey, about $250-300 per ticket. The seating is good, right in the middle of the good seats and the rafters. I try to make at least a few games per season, nothing like watching a game at the bell centre, well, that is if you exclude the old forum.

Just so I stay on topic I'll bring up T-Bay... It's a lil soon to call Steve-Y a genius, but he's made some bold moves that-on paper-make the team better. We'll have to see how they do on the ice before throwing anymore flowers his way.

He's definitely peaked my interest.
