Rondalsf
This sucks for my boy. St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild announced Saturday that backup goaltender Josh Harding will need surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL and is likely to miss the 2010-11 season. Harding, 26, was injured in a collision midway through the first period of Friday's preseason game with St. Louis Blues forward Brad Boyes, who was checked into Harding by Wild defenseman Greg Zanon. The Saskatchewan native posted a 9-12-0 record with a 3.05 goals-against average and .905 save percentage last season for Minnesota.

Kubby31
The Minnesota Wild have hired former Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins coach Michel Therrien as a part-time professional scout. According to the Star-Tribune, Therrien watched the Wild's game against the Blue Jackets on Wednesday with Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher. "Michel knows hockey," Fletcher told the Star-Tribune. "He's won in many places and he wants to lead a team again. So, he wants to attend games and stay around the NHL. We are delighted to have him" The 46-year old Therrien has been out of hockey since being fired by the Penguins in 2009, less than a year after he helped lead Pittsburgh to the Stanley Cup finals. CanadianMike
Hmmmmm I'd like Theo to somehow get the #1 job off of Backstrom (but at the same time I don't want Backstrom to lose too many games...cause I'd like to see them make the playoffs). Is Lats back? I heard he was injured.
Subban-Fan
Taking on the Oil tonight. Gotta go with my boys M. Koivu and Theo Hopefully Theo will be between the pipes.
CanadianMike
I hope so too, but I don't think so...not yet. Backstrom lost the first two though but I think it is too early for them to throw in the backup. Team can't score!
Subban-Fan
True that. I think once Koivu, Havlat and Madden find a groove on the season that'll help. Though I don't see a lot of goal scoring support, other than those three.
CanadianMike
This team is brutal to watch this season. Don't help their goalies at all. Backstrom last starts letting in 5-6-and 7 goals. Theo has been pretty good (30 saves or more in all of his starts besides one =28 saves) but his record W L isn't as good as it should be. for the first time since he has been in the NHL Wild fans are wondering what is wrong with Mikko....just brutal. CanadianMike
3 wins in a row for Theo! won 3-1 (35 saves) against the Bruins last night. No matter what team he plays for, his numbers against the ***** are awesome!
