Habcore
It's gonna be a few years before we see him in Montreal, but from a few youtube vids I watched I gotta say I love his game. He's exactly what we've been missing here a tough as nails energy player thats not affraid to stand up for team mates maybe even develope into a power forward who knows. Well welcome to the Jungle Ian looking forward to seeing you prove yourself in Hamilton.

Robinson-Souray
We already have someone exactly like you described in Hamilton with Ryan White. Whats wrong with having more big, tough, players? I'd rather have a big strong Canadian forward than a soft player. You need guys like White and Schultz in order to succeed. Size and toughness win championships - no better example than the Blackhawks . Welcome to Montreal Mr Schultz. I hope you stay for many many years to come, and won't be chastised by the hippies for being too "mean" in your game. You're exactly what the Habs need, and Im glad somebody at the top finally figured that out, as its only taken the better part of 15 years. WaterWolf37
Two is better than one? Don't matter because JM won't play them anyway, you have to be soft and over priced to get ice time with jocko
Robinson-Souray
Which is why the reins should be handed to Kirk Muller. Muller was a hard nosed player and he'll ice a hard nosed team (if he isn't handcuffed), and his time is coming very very soon. Muller will be the better coach IMO - Its time for the Habs to stop hiring coaches because of the fact they can speak french and rather concentrate on ability. GetThePuckOut_mtl
We already have someone exactly like you described in Hamilton with Ryan White. Who also came from the Hitmen. Schultz is bigger and had more PIM, whereas Ryan had better offensive numbers while in Calgary, but yes, they play a similar style of game. Welcome aboard Ian. Looking forward to see you rattle the boards at Copps.

j2c
I'm very happy about this Schultz guy, I hope he makes it to the NHL at some point, because we need a guy like him to stand up for our small forwards.
Brisebois
Maybe he'll turn out being our enforcer someday.
S-Bah
I am impressed with Ian's fight with McIrath, he had him on the ropes the whole fight, definitely a heavyweight. Welcome to Habland.

leafs_rock_go_mccabe
Maybe he'll turn out being our enforcer someday. Or, hopefully, he can turn into a solid power forward capable of playing bottom-6 minutes, but filling in on the top-6 when necessary. For instance, maybe he could provide that nasty net presence our top-6 might need in the post-season (three or four seasons from now).
Brisebois
Well I did't mean an old time enforcer but more like Chris Neil in his good days. Capable of playing a checking role, scoring some and be able to stick up for your teammates.
Bast
I don't see the Chris Neil comparison and the scoring you guys talk about. Chris Neil had much better stats in junior. His speed and scoring ability will be very borderline in the NHL. No doubt I love all the other facets to his game, but he'll have to prove he can follow the speed of the NHL. If he can, he'll be a great 4th liner, though I don't see him on any other line.

Neil is the prototype of what a tought guy will look like in the future (today) = Can play and fight. And this new guy has "Captain" capability = leader. I like this too. But he is just a prospect so .........

Par for the course, really. I'm going to hope he develops in Hamilton and just mamages to make the NHL someday.
