2010-2011 Tickets Thread

Recommended Posts

The quote prices dont include the service charge but they do include the taxes. And yes, they did go up, Molson said so after the season ended. They changed the sections a bit too.

I must have misread, at least taxes are included. I knew the prices would go up, they do every year, I just didn't think it would go up by that much. Usually it's a few dollars from what I can remember.

Holy cow. The price increase is incredible! I almost want to boycott buying tickets, they really are just taking advantage of the fans now! Last year I saw the Capitals on November 28th (regular game not optimum) section 112 row EE in the prestige section. It cost me $169.50 + 8.75=178.25

This year I was planning on going to April 5th Chicago matchup (optimum game). I normally splurge on a prestige seat but if I want it in the centre it's going to cost me $260 + 9.75=$269.75. That my friends is nuts. It is angering that the Molson brothers would have an increase of that much per ticket. I could buy my entire book list for 2 semesters at university with that much money. It's almost a difference of $100! Does anyone remember the price of optimum games last season?

Instead of 112 try 111 . I personally like it better, we see the opponent's goal better than in 112 ;)

What is your favourite section? I was thinking maybe I should aim for behind Price's net (Blackhawks are my 2nd favourite team) and I figure it'll be easier to get seats behind Price where the Hawks shoot twice than behind Turco. I've sat in sections 102, 111 and 112 and I've always felt my view was somewhat obstructed when looking down the other end of the ice. Heck, maybe at this point I should just sit in Club Desjardins B.

My favorite seats are 111-AA 7 & 8, obviously because they're first row but I like the section for the warmup and photos and I like the seats because they're smack in the middle of the row so I dont have to stand up every 5 minutes when other people are going back to their seat :D

108 and 106 are GREAT to see the ice completely, 107 not so much, Carey and the net will obstruct your view of the other end. 113-CC is fun if your seats are behind the actual penalty box, specially when the booins are in town, lucic is a riot with the fans ;)

I'm not a fan of 102 and 103, at the bell centre i prefer to be facing the bench than to sit on the same side. plus i find that the fans on the 110-113 side are a bit less 'corporate type' than on the 101-104 side ;)

Finally, I dont really like 114-124, I prefer being on the Habs side, again for the warmup and photos but of course, I wont refuse glass seats in those sections if 108 or 111 are not available.

So, to make a long story longer ;) Club Desjardins B will be 'meh', if you're used to prestige. If you want to aim for behind Price's net for the Chicago game, go for 108, you wont regret it. :)
