Alex Auld - 42GP-.908%-2.61GAA

I picked Pleks even though Cammalleri is porbably the safer bet.

But just to point out, I know this is all predictons and speculaton and all, but as I see it, Auld will not be playing 42 games here. Don't kill me for talking about the goalies here, I just wanted to point that out.

Also, I think if most of what you predicted turns out to be true, that'd be pretty good.

  • 2 weeks later...

I think it will be close this season between the top two lines with each player up in the 60 point range. This would spread the time on ice for everyone and keep fresh legs for each game instead of having one line burning out by the end of the season.

If price wants to have any success this season I would bet he is gonna have to be up there on that list somewhere :P

In all seriousness, I think its a safe bet to say cammalleri will lead in goals, and im gonna go out on a limb and say gomez leads us with points this season.

I think gomez is going to impress us this year

not saying he'll lead in points but he will prove all those haters wrong ;)

cammalleri will lead in scoring goals

Gionta will lead in points

Plecks will lead in assist

Markov will be our best point scoring defenceman (if he doesn't get injured)

Lapierre will surprise us with real talent and get over 20 goal this season

A.Kostitsyn will play worse than last year for the first half of the season then turn it around

Price will work hard to prove his boss that he made the right choice (hopefully)

Auld will play maybe 20 games and will be good but Price will always be our number 1 goalie this year

I like Cammaleri and Plekanec for100 total points each, assuming they can both stay health over the entire season.

Cammileri will also be our first 50 goal scorer in quite some time, and I see Pleks getting about 35. Again, that assumes their health over the long haul.

If that happened I'd streak my way from st johns to montreal

Pleks is good, I just cant see him ever putting up a 100.

Here are what I believe the top two lines stats will be for the upcoming season.

(I included Eller because I believe he might make the jump to one of the top two lines on the wing if things go well)

Mike Cammalleri - 80 plus pts with more then 40 goals.

Brian Gionta - Around 35 goals and 25 assists.

Tomas Plekanec - less the 25 goals but close to 50 assists.

Scott Gomez - around 18 goals with 55 assists (especially of Eller is moved up to the top line on the wing.)

Andrei Kostitsyn - Around 20 goals and 20 assists.

Lars Eller - Around 50 pts with 20 goals.

Benoit Pouliot - 25 goals and 15 assists.

I will just do the major players, on at least the one's featured on the poll and what i think that they will produce this season.

Mike Cammalleri- G: 45 A: 50 P: 95

Brian Gionta G: 25 A: 50 P: 75

Tomas Plekanec G: 25 A: 75 P: 100

Scott Gomez G: 20 A: 30 P: 50

Andrei Kostitsyn G: 18 A: 30 P: 48

Benoit Pouliot G: 30 A: 30 P: 60

I wonder how close i will get but i see Pleks being the top scorer, but Cammy is def going to have the most goals. Of course this is crosing our fingers that no major injury stops the production of either of them. (KNOCK ON WOOD)
