Or maybe a good bottle of red wine to soften the blow?

Wine wont do. I got this Pistachio Rum from Goa that's 80%, that might help

Ps. You're right, the shootout was the dumbest thing to happen to this league. Now a win in the stupid thing is only worth points, so if you win your final game of the regular season by a shootout and tie for 8th LOL.

As I have many times voiced by opinion on this subject...still remains, this is the only league that I'm aware of that rewards a team for losing a game.Give 2 points to the winner period. Then you will see teams actually compete through the whole game....IMO.

I wouldn't have minded this before they had the shootout. But witht the shootout, no way.

Now, I don't see the point of the shootout if the win isn't going to count. They should get rid of it altogether, imagine a team squeaking into 7th because they lost in the shootout and got the point, but the team who won tied for 8th and that win doesn't count towards the tie break LOL. It's time to get rid of the shootout NHL. I'd rather get ride of the shootout and play 2 OT periods @ 5 min each.

100% agree you can see it in OT teams just float waiting to get to the stupid shootout knowing they will atleast get a point even if they lose.
