CANADIENS27
Ineffective blocking by Detroit's offensive front line gives Seattle a 13-10 win. The Lions gained 53 yards on 18 attempts and are at a league worst 2.7 yards per rushing attempt. Matthew Stafford was 23 of 35 for 205 yards which was under 6.5 yards per attempt. Detroit's defensive front was able to sack Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson 6 times and force him into numerous escape acts and forced three turnovers, one of which was run in for Detroit's only touchdown. Still, Detroit had a chance to win the game in the final minutes, but Calvin Johnson had the ball punched out of his grasp short of the goal line by Cam Chancellor. The ball was punched out of the end zone by K.J. Wright which should have been a penalty giving the Lions the ball at the one yard line.

CANADIENS27
Detroit takes advantage of blown coverage and key penalties to take a 37-34 win over Chicago in overtime. Actually, both teams hurt themselves with key penalties. Turnovers continue to haunt Detroit as the Bears took advantage of three of them to score 18 of their points. The Bears also failed to execute in the red zone which also proved vital as two drives stalled and their only turnover was an off target throw by Jay Cutler that was intercepted in the end zone. Chicago's game tying drive came as result of soft coverage and consecutive pass interference penalties that allowed Robbie Gould to kick a relatively short field goal. CANADIENS27
Minnesota exploits Detroit's ineffective front line to take a 28-19 win. Detroit started off pushing Minnesota off the line of scrimmage to take an early 14-3 lead. But the Vikings would adjust to Detroit's blocking scheme and record 7 sacks against Matthew Stafford, three resulting from missed assignments. Detroit's secondary was torched for big plays and a costly penalty kept alive a Minnesota drive alive, a defensive holding penalty on third down. There was also a failure to execute in the red zone by Detroit late in the game. On the bright side, Detroit was able to force Minnesota attempt five field goals.
