Detroit 22 Minnesota 16, overtime.  Inability to execute in the red zone, penalties, a missed extra point, a blocked field goal, and missed tackles allow Detroit to another win.  Two of the penalties occurred after an interception of an ill-advised Matthew Stafford pass that gave Minnesota the ball at the Detroit 18.  A four yard loss and a sack on third down forced Minnesota to punt.  An offsides penalty wiped out another interception by the Vikings and a pass interference penalty on third and long kept Detroit's game winning drive alive, one of four third down conversions in the period.  The Vikings also had problems getting off the field in the second quarter allowing the Lions to hold the ball for nearly the remaining 9:50 allowing them to a take a 10-3 lead into the lockeroom.   A missed extra point kept the score at 10-9 after the Vikings had scored its first touchdown.  Detroit blocked a field goal attempt which they converted into a field goal of their own.  The Vikings were also stuffed on fourth and inches from the Detroit six yard line.  Detroit has trailed in the fourth quarter of all its games winning five and those five resulted from an inability to keep opponents out the end zone in the fourth quarter.

Detroit 26 Jacksonville 19.  Big plays on defense and special teams help Detroit.  A 65 yard punt return gave Detroit its first lead.  A 39 yard interception return on a pass thrown high and behind Jacksonville quarterback Blake Bortle's intended receiver and a missed tackle gave the Lions their second TD.  A 61 yard pass reception to Eric Ebron set a one yard run by Ebron for the go ahead score in the fourth quarter quarter.  The Jaguars had problems getting off the field after having the Lions pinned on their 15, allowing the Lions first down on a fourth and 2 when Sen'Derreck Marks jumped offsides at the Detroit 46.  Detroit was able to run 8 minutes off the clock before kicking a field goal.
