Preseason Game #6 - Sabres @ Canadiens, September 30th, 2010.

The players must be dying to get the regular season under way, and Buffalo is just the team to get the juices flowing. Everybody out there playing tonight had better be aware that Zach Kassian will be playing for the Scabbers and he loves to hit. We don't need any injuries so keep your heads up tonight.Go Habs Go!

I would rather have Streit back but love that slapshot but he is a douche....

WHAT? He is injured and we have moved on, but you didn't just call Streit a douche...did you?

Can we expect more cuts after this game?

yes! time to trim in down and get ready for the season. Too bad it wasn't before this game.

Is Miller getting the start for the Sabres?

Zach Kassian was a guy I thought the Habs should have traded up to get a couple of years ago. I was disappointed to see him go, and to a division rival no less. He's exactly what we could have used to compete with a bulked up Toronto defense and teams like Boston and Philly, with their Lucic and Hartnell-type players. Don't want to see him do any damage to us, but will be interested to see how he plays tonight at an NHL level.

As for Souray, I wouldn't touch him now at over 5 million a year, but I'd think about it if he came back on re-entry waivers. He has his defensive liabilities, but I don't think he's anywhere close to being as bad as MAB, and at 2.6 million he'd be making less than Spacek, well less than Hamr, and just a touch more than Gill. Not sure how many years Souray has left on his contract though, and if he has extra years left with that cap hit, I'd stay away.

The Montreal defence can use a top four Dman, I think that PG can extend both Markov and Hamrlik's contracts and sign the Hammer at a team discount. Give him $3 mil a year for three years, Then it will be possible to sign Kaberle or one of the premier defencemen giving the Habs a good if not great defence.I truly believe the Habs are 1or2 players away from the Cup.

Sabres left Buffalo at 4:15PM , are scheduled to arrive in St-Hubert at 5:30. With all that rain and traffic, they wont have much time to spare before warmup

Perfect I hope they don't have time for a warmup, I can't wait to see the Habs smoke Ryan Miller for a quick three goals and give Carey a shutout he deserves it after the close games last year. :P:D
