js2
Since the old "ref watch squad" thread is closed, I'm making a new thread and starting it off with this gem. Callahan received an interference penalty on this play while Crosby got nothing.
beaubie
If it was just Crosby not getting the call, okay, blown call.. meh. But the fact that Callahan got a penalty in that incident is preposterous. It makes it worse. Kind of like when Spacek got a call when he hit the boards that time except that time neither really deserved to get one and here Crosby deserved to get a penalty. kinot-1
Not sure if this belongs here,,,,but here goes. Most of us have seen a delayed penalty being called and the team with the upcoming PP shot the puck into their own net ( see Ryan O'Byrne). Last nite I was watching the TB-T.O. game. TB has a delayed penalty called on them and Leafs have the puck, Leafs goalie skates to the bench. Play goes into leafs end and TB player goes chasing it, falls and knocks the net off. Play continues without the net being adjusted, ,down to TB end where TB touches the puck and whistle is blown. Now,,,,what I would like to know is,,,,,,,if TB did not touch the puck and a leafs player inadvertantly shot the puck down the ice into the Leafs net, (which was off it's moorings),,,,,,would it have counted as a goal for TB? Or would it be waived of because the net was knocked off by a TB player? Any ideas? or did I miss something.
fnveenie
Crosby gets away with everything. Remember last year in the playoff's? He's Bettman's little sweetheart. Awwwww

The O'Byrne own goal would go under the category, to once again borrow a baseball hall of shame term, "snooze play" or most mind boggling mental miscue. Where else could someone find some of these blown calls besides You Tuble or the NHL.com site? If someone wants a candidate for most blatantly blown call, I can throw in the hit against Halpern. CANADIENS27
I nearly forgot. A potential source would be ESPN's Not Top Ten plays.

S-Bah
The Chicago Wolves-Hamilton Bulldogs game the refs wanted Chicago to win obviously they won not surprising considering the Bulldogs were playing without a ref or linesmen in their lineup. uncivilengineer
Who are his other sweethearts? I wonder if Ovechkin is one of them? Judging by the number of suspensions Ovi has taken, doubt it.
Lizardking89
Just plain awful these last two games Tom Kowal is now in the same boat as Chris Lee in terms of incredibly biased officiating.
Lizardking89
Another game handed to the opposition tonight due to blatant biased officiating. The Fryers shouldnt have won that game...period

The goal frame is considered to be displaced if either or both goal pegs are no longer in their respective holes in the ice, or the net has come completely off one or both pegs, prior to or as the puck enters the goal. now i've seen goals disallowed if the net is still on the pegs and its in the air, but i can find nothing to support waving off that goal, so i guess the ball is in someone else's court now.
