The Canadiens were back on practice ice this afternoon at the Bell Centre to prepare for tomorrow's matinée vs. the visiting Atlanta Thrashers.

Only Michael Cammalleri, newcomer James Wisniewski and Josh Gorges, the workhorse defenceman who was placed on injury reserve this week to let his injured right knee heal, were not on the ice.

No reason given for Cammalleri, who was seen in gym shorts and T-shirt shortly before the practice, but Wisniewski was having a few minor bumps and bruises tended to by training staff, and recovering a bit from a hard travel and playing stretch since he was acquired by the Canadiens from the New York Islanders.

HABS I/O

Nice GDT Flying Lion looking forward to our guys playing at the Bell, the addition of Desharnais should help all the lines in their scoring as the opponents try to figure out how to stop the offense coming from each line.Center is finally becoming the strong position again for the Montreal Canadiens, most great teams are strong through the center and defence first.

Nice looking GDT!

Ok Montreal, start this year off right and that's by taking down the surprise team of the east - Atlanta Thrashers. Play 60 minutes of hockey, an overtime win last night doesn't negate the sloppy play. Score the goals, play the game, and most importantly ... WIN THE GAME DAMNIT! *Shakes Fist* <_<

Nice GDT Flyin Lion.

1 pm start? Bah!

My thoughts exactly. I have something planned for tomorrow and I'm going to have to head out pretty much right when the puck drops. But I won't miss the whole game, so I guess it could be worse.

Beating a team so close in the standings would be good for the Habs.

Winning two in a row would also be a step in the right direction.

Yay, 1 pm  Bah, Can't catch this one. Atlanta is going to be tough. I hate that I'm here, looking at the standings and I see our position. Two points would help a lot, but that's merely if we can play some good hockey following. Horrible road trip out of the way, hopefully we can gain some of what we lost.

And Hopefully when I get back, I'll be a happy camper when I see the result

Go Habs! :P
