Game #57 Leafs Vs Our Habs!

Celebration Of Hockey - Hockey Day In Canada

Last 10 -- Toronto 5-4-1; Montreal 4-3-3

Season series -- The two Original Six rivals meet for the fourth of six times this season. Toronto has taken two out of the first three, including a 3-1 win in their last meeting on Dec. 11. The home team has won all three games.

Big story -- The Habs are where the Leafs want to be -- in the top eight in the East. But the Canadiens have dropped three in a row, including a 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders on Thursday, while the Leafs are 4-1-1 since the All-Star break despite Thursday's 2-1 OT loss to New Jersey.

Side note: FH10's birthday today...so hoping I'll receive a nice gift today from the boys...2pts in regulation please...GO HABS GO!

Excellent GDT & Happy Birthday FH! Hope you enjoy it but here's hoping for a Habs win so you can really enjoy it. :P

It's imperative that we win. For various reasons.

Is there any way we cannot have a line of AK Gomez and Eller? Because they seem to be killing it and not in a good way.

FH10 your GDT is always well above par

In this catagory you are a star

It's also your birthday so have a great day

We just need our HABS to play

Exciting hockey to get a win

We have to pull out of this tail spin

Forget all the other games played this week

Have to put our best foot forward,so to speak

We are not bullies we are not thugs

So we have to chill out, give our opponents hugs

If this is what it takes to win

Please make room I'm jumping in

I have no time for making war

Me I am a lover to the core

We have to go out and show how superior we are

Our talent and skill are greater by far

This game can't be hit or miss

I am fed up with teams taking the p***

I am sorry for the cliches in this rhyme

I am having a really hard time

To find words to wax lyrical

About half a team that need a miracle

They are all playing on different pages

We need cohesion here she rages

It hurts to see my team going this way

Please prove me wrong and make my day

Darnit! Just got called in to work. Sucks but I need the hours. Cut off day is tomorrow and I have a grand total of 0 hours on this pay period.

I've set my phone to update me on all events of consequence. Make my pocket vibrate often, Boys! GO HABS GO!

I think the Leafs are going to come out targeting both PK and Carey again tonight, although seeing as they're missing some of their fighters, I don't see this being as big a brawl as we've seen in certain games in the NHL this past week. I do think there are going to be a fair share of PP's for each team though. I'm not sure I like JM's idea to stick Gomez with Eller and AK again; they've already shown the line has no chemistry and plays terrible positional hockey, often getting all 3 men caught deep. I think the Pleks and DD lines will be good again tonight though, and I think we'll see a fair bit of scoring. Habs 5-3.
