Habs this week

Jacques Martin and the Habs will try to get back into the habit of winning with a victory over the Atlanta Thrashers, currently sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference. While it was the Thrashers who walked away with points in each of the teams’ first two meetings of the season, it was the Habs who emerged victorious in their most recent encounter on Mar. 1.

After getting called up by Atlanta from the Chicago Wolves on Mar. 10, forward Ben Maxwell could finally be playing his first NHL game on Bell Centre ice since being traded by the Canadiens, along with a fourth-round draft pick, in exchange for defenseman Brent Sopel and forward Nigel Dawes.

Awesome job Clues!

One word: Turnaround

I quite honestly don't know what to say about this team that hasen't already been said before. There is only 6 games left in this season. Six games, where hopefully we see this team make it instead of break it.

I laughed, I cried, I shouted, I still believe, I think?

From Mike Boone at HIO

Your Montreal Canadiens have to score eventually, right?

Tom Pyatt is not going to be credited with the last goal of the 2010-11 season, right?

When we did a pressbox pool on the next Hab goal-scorer and I took Louis Leblanc, it was a joke, right?

But if Atlanta scores first tonight, no one will be laughing … least of all Jacques Martin, who is running out of line combinations.

The lines at morning skate:

Darche Gomez Gionta

Cammalleri Plekanec Halpern

Kostitsyn Eller Moen

Pouliot Desharnais White

The Pleks-on-the-point experiment seems to be over.

First power-play unit: Gomez-Gionta-Desharnais-Wisniewski-Hamrlik. Second: Pleks-Cammalleri-Kostitsyn-Subban-Mara.

Puck drops at 7:40ish, murmurs of discontent begin at 7:45, full-throated booing at 8.

Clues your GDT as always is excellent

Is it enough to make the Habs repent

3 games now with out a goal

This is hurting our HABS soul

But I am not going to complain

My feelings for this team remain the same

I know things have been hard on you

But to improve this you know what to do

But we are behind you all the way

And that is how it will always stay

So come on HABS show your skill

Just please not on the penalty kill

We know you can skate really fast

We know this slump cannot last

So tonight will be a breakout night

Co's our HABS will get it right

GO HABS GO :D :D
