Hmm... this thread was not really intended as a predictions thread (Cenner_Hice will have something for that I believe) but more as a discussion one. You can all make predictions if you want of course but no one is keeping the score that I know of.

Well, until the action starts, there isn't much to do except make predictions and debate each other about said predictions.

Well, maybe we can talk about who is going to be the refs' darling childs. <_<

What if your second favourite team didn't make it :(

I really thought St. Louis would make it this year

go for your 3rd then ;)

I'll be cheering for the Wings and the Kings in the West . In the East, no one but the Habs, I dont like any other team there.

I must say, I really like the matchups this year. Basically the 4-5 in each conference are the only pairings without a history because even the Phoenix-Wings series has a little history, I also like the fact that almost all the lower ranked teams have great goaltending:

Rangers: Lundqvist > Capitals: Whomever

Sabres: Miller > Flyers: Bobo

Canadiens: Price = Bruins: Thomas

Lightning < Pens

Canucks : Luongo > Hawks : Crawford

Kings : Quick > Sharks : Niemi

Coyotes : Bryzgalov > Wings: Howard

Preds : Renne > Ducks: Emery

It's interesting because it means basically all the lower teams have a chance to Halak these playoffs. Yes, I used it as a verb.

I think that Phoenix can beat Detroit(riding the Howard-Bryzgalov matchup)

I think we can beat Boston, but more on that in another thread

I think Buffalo can ride some good goaltending and take advantage of Philly bad goalies.

I think pressure and Chicago again will overwhelm Lou and his defense

San Jose chokes again

Those are my upset picks(other than Kings over Sharks-not an upset there) . Other than that, everything will go as the odds dictate.

Caps crush Rangers in 4 or 5

Pens beat Lighting in close series based on experience

Ducks ride depth and overall superiority to beat Nashville in 6.

What's wrong with cheering for another team until they face the Habs? :D
