ColRouleBleu
Great thread Forza, need less to say it's a must win one! Less than an hour away from practice in Brossard, Dave Stubbs pointed out which water bottles were set on the board: http://twitpic.com/4pdf00 Let the speculation begin, at least until practice begins and updates are available
ColRouleBleu
Okay... the suspense was very short lived, Max is training on the second ice with Markov and Gorges, not with the team.

jedimaas
Nice GDT. It will be interesting to see if JM counters with anything. Its risky because on the one hand we've been so close to the bruins that we really could have won any of the 3 games we lost. But on the other hand, there's plenty of areas we could improve in. Im just not sure if those areas are anything that Martin can do anything about (ie with different lines or PP units) or if it now falls completely on the players. I expect a very strong start. I still think we can win this thing in 7 games. We need to get into the bruins' heads and get them scared. Get them second guessing themselves. We should be taking a page from the Blackhawk's playbook: get to Thomas early and often and not only will you win this game, but you will have strong momentum going into game 7. Unlike last year at this time, the bruins have no Alex Ovechkin. They have no Backstrom or Semin. They have no Crosby or Malkin. We can beat them. And we will. I believe. We can beat them. And we will. I believe. Agreed but we have to keep in mind that unlike last year, the Booins have no Théo and no Fleury either. I'm still confident we can beat them too but we have to do something about their goaltending by committee. Thomas by himself is fine but when Ryder starts to make saves too, it becomes more complicated. Then again, the surprise element is gone for them with that stunt so we should be fine

Timmeh04
It seemed like Weber played well when he was at wing or whatever, so maybe this is a good thing...especially since he'll be a bit bigger (I think), and will have more adrenaline. I'm still worried about the game (trying not to be), but I know we CAN do it...we just HAVE to do it. And I also don't understand why Moen keeps being played with Gomez. There MUST be some sort of rhyme or reason to it...Martin can't consciously form the second line of this team with no reasoning behind it. But what on Earth is it? ColRouleBleu
They also have no Jose Theodore or Semyon Varlamov. With DD out, does that mean we probably see Benny back in? I said the samething a few posts above but I mentioned Fleury instead of Varlamov As for DD's absence, it's more likely that we'll see Weber in, not Pouliot. He was practicing on the PP today and also, if Wiz is no go as well, Mara can play. It seemed like Weber played well when he was at wing or whatever, so maybe this is a good thing...especially since he'll be a bit bigger (I think), and will have more adrenaline.
