Guest habs1952
3. Officiating in the NHL is suspect to say the least. We're not the only ones that think it. Gillis over in Vancouver raised the issue. After watching several games there is no doubt the officiating is suspect. But, where is it written that both teams must get an equal amount of penalties? I'll bet no one ever complains when their team gets more power plays than their opponent. This is the playoffs so one would expect top notch officiating however the officials aren't going to get better overnight. They're still reffing as bad as they did in the regular season, only now, in the playoffs, the league has instructed them to let some things go and only call the obvious (blatant) infractions to let the teams determine the outcome. Case in point are the scrums around the net after the whistle. During the regular season the ref would pick someone and penalize him. During the playoffs you can literally mug someone without fear of being penalized.
maddienmike
I'll be at a friends place for the game tonight, so no posting for me until later. I want them to win so bad. They've deserved the last couple of games, they really have. They just can't seem to finish, and in the playoffs, that's costly. I want to be happy tonight. I want all of us to be happy tonight. If they win tonight, I really do believe they can take the series. Boston has scored a total of 3 goals in 3 games on their home turf and it took a double overtime just to get a victory. We can do this. All we have to do is win tonight. Our little boy is due next week. We have all kinds of Montreal Canadiens onesies that he needs to be wearing during this years playoffs. He'll be too big for them next year. So they absolutely have to do this! Yes we will get him more Hab outfits for next year, but he can only wear the onesies for a short time, so they have to win so he can wear them during their 2011 run! Go Habs Go! Have a great night everyone! Congratulations on your bundle of joy It's just great that it's a boy I am glad your teaching him the way to go He'll be a real HABS fan,not just for show Your going to have fun and tears too But you'll love him so much,it won't matter to you There is nothing better in this whole world Than having your little HABS fan in your arms curled GO HABS GO

netcase
I can't believe I am not nervous for a change. I know we are going to do this. I'm not nervous either because I know that if we blow this game, we won't have to be nervous anymore this season.
maddienmike
I am not nervous I am not going crazy I'm just sitting here being lazy Counting the minutes is no fun Not when there are games to be won There are a lot of things I should be doing Not just waiting to start booing When the Booins come on the ice I know that isn't very nice Mikes at work and I'm by myself Should be putting the washing on the shelf I don't care it will get done After this game we've won Can't expect me to think of doing this When a great comment I might miss I'm not counting on gods or luck I'm just waiting for them to DROP THE PUCK GO HABS GO
jedimaas
Let's win this in regulation. My heart can't take another OT. But if it must be I'll call the paramedics after. My heart can - providing they guarantee montreal scores in it hehehe. Reality is this: we've been the better team for most of the periods of hockey in this series. (By my, albeit completely biased and unscientific) estimation of the 16+ periods of hockey we've played in this series, we've been the better team 10 of those periods). Tonight we must do it for 3 periods & tomorrow another 3. Its not impossible. Its not even unlikely. What sucks is that we started off with so much breathing room (2 wins on the road) and now have absolutely no room for error. It (winning the series) can still be done, of course, the task is now just a little more difficult. A solid (ie not 1 goal) win tonight would go a long way not just (the obvious) forcing game 7 but also putting some doubt into the minds of the bruins. Game 7s are tricky things. But, first things first. Win tonight.

Noob616
Let's win this in regulation. My heart can't take another OT. But if it must be I'll call the paramedics after. On Saturday I was at the hospital after I cut my finger open, and I turned on the game in the waiting room. I was saying to my mom during the 1st, that we should just stay there if it goes to OT, because there's no better place to have a heart attack over a hockey game

BigTed3
Rumor is that Wisniewski is likely to go and that DD is out, but I guess we're all waiting for the warm-up and line-ups to confirm. RDS also reporting Weber would be the one to take DD's spot, which would be a nice insurance policy to have in the line-up in case Wisniewski is forced to leave again or Spacek continues to play poorly. It's all about step-up time tonight for the guys in the line-up. As I said last year, Game 7's are toss-ups any way you look at them, so it's all about trying to just get there are seeing what happens. We need Plekanec, Cammalleri, Gomez, Gionta, Hamrlik, Subban, and Price to be our best guys tonight and we need to get out with an early lead. If we're forced to play catch-up, it'll be difficult, but if we force the Bruins to open up, we'll get more chances and it'll be up to us to bury one to get up two. So that's the game plan if you ask me... get the energy going early, crash the net, skate hard to play D and then play smart, opportunistic hockey if we do get a lead. The guys who I think will bring it tonight will be Subban, Plekanec, and Darche. Other than that, I'm not interested in how we win, only that we win.
