CANADIENS27
Obviously, ending a five game losing streak with our highest goal total of the season. Also, shutting down Ottawa after giving up an early first period goal and not letting them back into the game. When the Senators scored again, we eventually answered that goal. Hopefully, this will be the start of something we'll see more often.

weepingminotaur
We're getting closer to a top-five pick. I, for one, view this as a positive.
CANADIENS27
We're getting closer to a top-five pick. I, for one, view this as a positive. If that happens, who could we get?
weepingminotaur
If that happens, who could we get? Don't know. I don't follow junior, so I have no idea of who the top players might be, but whoever they are, they'll be better than what we have now. We might just be able to draft an elite player at forward for what feels like the first time in 100 years. Tanking also has the additional benefit of making it clear to Geoff Molson that the team itself is the issue, not the coach.
Guest Regis2
Tha Habs braintrust would probably draft an American under 18 high school D man
maddienmike
The future looks very bright with our youngsters playing in the juniors, who drafted these guys Oh! of course it was PG,perhaps if the legacy he was given had been easier to deal with we might not have been in the state we are. GO HABS GO
weepingminotaur
Tha Habs braintrust would probably draft an American under 18 high school D man Which would be fine if we didn't then trade that player for an underachieving center with four years remaining on a horrible $7 million contract. But this is the positive thread, so I'll stop there...
Guest Regis2
I would rather they draft the best available player regardless of what postion he plays This drafting of a player who is 16 yrs odl and six yrs from being AHL ready doesn't seem to be working
Guest Regis2
The future looks very bright with our youngsters playing in the juniors, You do realize that having succes in jrs and / or playimng in the world Jr Chanpionship has no correlation to success at the NHL level See Patrick Roy, MArtin Brodeur , Al Macinnis as examples of players who had great NHL careers but tnever played in the world Jrs I m not saying the players the Habs drafteed who are currently playing in the world Jrs will not make the NHL and have long succesdful careers but let's not make them out to be saviors just yet . We keep doing that with every player we draft yet this hiockey club POSITIVELY needs to get better
Guest habs1952
Tha Habs braintrust would probably draft an American under 18 high school D man The Habs brain trust is smarter than that, right? Right?

maddienmike
I'm just thumbing my nose at all the people who want us to tank who say we cannot play, alright we have had some problems this season but when they can play like they did tonight,I'm poking out my tongue as well and saying na na de na na I can't say what I really want to I would be sent to the alley and anyway there are children present. CANADIENS27
A rare easy game for the team and especially for Price. Being able to to score in the third period for a change and the fact giving up a late third period goal not making any difference.
