In a full fledged rebuild, should be wining the draft lottery IMO

I sincerely hope they lose it, and Calgary wins. There's enough lucky jerks in this division as it is, let alone the conference. We really don't need Ottawa turning into a generational beast and Florida stockpiling a million prospects for half a decade until they trade them for cap space. :P Also, hopefully Phoenix doesn't get too great of a pick either, given where they'll probably end up...

Plus, the Flames are an okay team. Hard to hate them with Iginla on the roster.

Ottawa Senators forward Nikita Filatov is heading back to Russia to finish off the season with CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League. The former first-round draft pick wasn't able to establish himself as a top-six forward with the club and was released by the Senators on Monday.

Daniel Alfredsson scored his 400th career goal in overtime as the Ottawa Senators came back to beat the Calgary Flames 4-3 Friday. While on a power play, Alfredsson took a pass from Erik Karlsson and fired a one-timer past Calgary goaltender Leland Irving at 3:31 of overtime.
