maddienmike
I can't wait to see our little giant back Maybe in physical stature he doe's lack But he more than makes up with heart and soul To always be better is his main goal He gives everything he's got,in every game Wish every player did the same He will be watched through out the year He will not disappoint never fear At the end of the season you will see The second version of St Lois GO DD GO
Rocket-1
David is an unreal talent, i can't wait to see him improve year after year. He might be better than Plekanec a few years from now.
NewfoundlandHab
I don't think he will be quite as good as Plekanec. If he is I don't think he will stay a Hab. I feel like we will keep Eller over him if they both become 2nd line centers.

I feel like we will keep Eller over him if they both become 2nd line centers. There will be a way to keep all 3 if both Eller and DD turn out to be that good. If Pittsburgh found a way to keep Jordan Staal, we'll be able to do the same with Pleks, DD, and Eller. For now, I'll just be happy to see them both perform well and move from there if we have to. musicalhab
Don't expect a repeat performance offensively. Under Jacques Martin coaching he shouldn't harm our team but I think the league, as was shown during the second half of his tenure in the NHL last year, will tighten up on this guy defensively eliminating him from being a threat. In his five games in the bruins series it was pretty painful watching this guy fail to access the B's zone with any success

In his five games in the bruins series it was pretty painful watching this guy fail to access the B's zone with any success you may be right, but it could also be that with good coaching and some hockey smarts he will figure out a way around these problems. I'm more worried about his durability given his small size and the way he plays the game without fear
maddienmike
It doesn't matter what anybody does to him,he will keep trying and find a way, that's the nature of the guy,we have another one coming up just like him in Brendan Gallager ( there's an h in there somewhere)anyway he is made of the same stuff,DD has so much talent that along with his heart he will find a way, can't wait for next season. Guest
It's easier to protect a smaller talented player if you have good distribution of talent and size throughout your top 9. IMO he has a stronger year this season with our current makeup.

Nine1One
David Desharnais. He will be a very solid Bottom Sixer for us this year. He will make mince meat of bottom lines for us, should the other teams notice this and play harder on him that will open up other players for scoring. He should be our 4th line center, if the coach sees differently he should be the 3rd winger on the 3rd line. IN my opinion, he will score around 36 points. He may wear down as the season goes on though.
maddienmike
I don't think he will wear down he is so full of heart, if he was dying on his feet he would still get out there and give a bit more than some one else. GO DD GO
CaptWelly
I love this kid. Like Dino Cicerelli wasn't drafted to small has to more than everyone else to prove himself because of his size. I think with Eller injured to start the season D.D. will take that #3 center spot do great on the powerplay and if Gomez fails could move to #2 center. I'll take skill and hockey smarts over size any day. I really think this guy will continue to surprise people. Like St.Louis , Datsyk, Kane ect. smart skilled players find a way. A lot of times the big guys will end up injuried more often because they are expected to be physical and put themselves in bad situations more often. I remember a skinny kid who all the hockey pundits said would never make it in the NHL becuse he wasn't fast and he was to skinny......hmmm oh yeah his name was Gretsky.....he kind of seemed to work out. I'm not saying D.D. is the next "Great One", I just think he is going to surprise a lot of people. I know a lot of fans are penciling in Eller,(who I like) as #3 because he is taller, but I think D.D. will run with the oportuninty. Go D.D. GO HABS GO !!!!!! BigTed3
DD's value this year is going to come on special teams. If he wants to earn more ice time, he's going to have a hard time displacing Pleks and Gomez, but I'm hoping he gets a chance on the PP to use his skill with more open ice and with the line-up we currently have, I'd also expect him to get some work on the PK. If DD gets some PP time, I could see him putting up 40 points this year.
