maddienmike
Hope to see another great season from the quiet warrior. Gotta love how he never gives up This is what makes him so good, along with quite a few other players on our team,if you look at most of our guys they have this kind of heart, this is why I love the team we have, they may not be the greatest on the planet, but they take some beating when it comes to heart and guts. GO DARCHE GO

GO DARCHE GO  Exactly. We have alot of players who play their heart out, they know what it takes to play in Montreal, and respect our rich history and tradition. Darche IMO is the best example, but our whole core seems to bleed Bleu Blanc Et Rouge.
musicalhab
twenty six points last year in only fifty nine games to have that kind of unexpected presence from Mathieu repeated this coming season would be great he is thirty four years old however. maddienmike
I don't think his age will stop him,he is living his dream there is no way he is going to let one year get in the way of that, this is another player with tenacity, love that.We have a fair few of players like that here. GO DARCHE GO
MIASUN
As I said with Gio, just wanted to post to give Darche a little love. Good veteran leader who knows his role. You would be hard pressed to find a player anywhere better suited to his role and his city than the intelligent, dedicated, hard-working, bilingual, talkative Mathieu Darche in Montreal. His presence in front of the net and the media scrums may be equally important for this team!

FirstStar
Hope he tops his performance from last season this year Go Darche! He's a heart and soul player, doesn't have the skills, but gives himself for the team. A typical character player. I'm liking our lower lines now. As much as I hated Laps and his puck hogging, we took a hit on our lower lines when we lost Metro, Moore and then Laps. I'm very happy about the acquisition of Betts. Innis_Mor
Go Darche!! Oh, and Betts has past you with more posts to his Hab player page ... in something like 4 hours. (Darche: "show me some love!!" )
maddienmike
He may not have the most skill but he is still one of our best,I don't think we have to worry about our Darche not feeling loved,he knows he can feel it. GO DARCHE GO
MIASUN
I savour it every day, sometimes before practice I’m skating around and I’ll look at the logo on my jersey – I’m playing for the Canadiens!” said the Montreal-born Darche, a childhood Habs fan. Keep living the dream bro, it's refreshing to hear a pro love his life and enjoy his priviledge of realizing ALL of ours dream come true, he's very easy to root for, Go Darche Go! Habs_Hockey_Nutz
By his own standard I think Darche had a great year last season... can he repeat though? A year older and maybe a step slower? IMO he is still a good asset until something better is identified... which brings me to my next point... With the return of Scott Gomez the potential is there to move Moen down to the 4th line at left wing. Arguably Moen brings more substance in terms of responsibility... (he kills penalties and can protect players to more of an extent if necessary than Darche). Do the habs then consider a true right-winger (Blunden) over a player playing his off-wing (Darche)? Youth, size and speed is tempting in this scenario for me. Darche becomes the spare part IMO.
beaubie
I feel like he's poofed into thin air. He there but he's not really there it seems.
MIASUN
Can't finish this year, he'd better start because when White comes back, he'll be first to sit. I like him but he needs to solidify his role.
weepingminotaur
Terrible for the past few games, brings nothing to the table at all. Pressbox material if even one more D is healthy (move Weber back to forward).

weepingminotaur
Agreed, Completely invisible Not even invisible. He's making sloppy, costly turnovers and blowing coverage inside our blue line. I don't know where his head is at, but he needs to remember that he's nothing but a 33-year-old fourth-line grinder, and that he can be replaced in a heartbeat if he stops putting in the work. BigTed3
Darche hasn't done for us what he did last year. AK likely takes Palushaj's spot, but when Markov/Spacek/Gill are back, there's a decent chance JM plays 7 D men. And when (if?) White gets back, Darche is in serious trouble because he has made himself very expendable.

Absolutely not his fault but I feel the kid is missing the train.

Absolutely not his fault but I feel the kid is missing the train. I agree, I'm just not as enamored with White as most people never mind the injury situation.. Darche has done nothing for me but if our D gets healthy White's competition will be against having 7 DMen dressed and what a guy like Weber can bring on the PP and as extra insurance should a DMan go down in game.
