Riots in England

Whatever one's opinion of the happenings might be, maybe it's time those pulling the strings in the United Kingdom--and other Western nations included--should take a look at the cause of this seething violence bubbling under the surface. Kids don't wake up one day and decide to smash and burn.

I was surprised at the absence, or absence of use, at any rate, of those water cannon toting trucks.

It would seem to me a swell way to quell an uprising, and put out any fires as they are started. Throw some dye in the water too, before blasting the crowds, and your disturbers are marked for the rest of the evening.

But then again, what do I know?

You have "common sense",,,,governments/police don't.

BTW,,,,I see that the courts in the U.K., are comming down HARD, and swift on the rioters etc.

Good on them. :)

Meanwhile,,,back in Vancouver,,,,,,justice works at a snails pace. :angry::blink:

I wish they were coming down harder, the only significant sentencing was on two people who tried to cause riots, actual rooters haven't been greatly hit

Our court are powerless and our prisoners get Sky etc, so custodial sentences are pointless anyway
