Guest archey
These CBA negotiations are trivial compared to what happened in Connecticut today. I can't even begin to imagine the horror show that went on in that school. one talks for years about expanding the american way of life through expanding the possibilities by adding positive effects in the constitution be it by actually reading other peoples ideas as i did with canada's that gave me the idea that we need quarantine hospitals, or by actually sitting down and thinking things out, or gasp! even by listening to what otherwise "small" voices have to say, but since it's america no one listens and i'm left completely drained, having shed an amount of tears i don't want to shed and imagining the horror to complete innocents and others. i mean its beyond and then some. hatethosebruins
I always remembered when Seth meyers made a point on gun control in the weekend update and mentioned, when they added the right to bear arms in the constitution shooting a bullet was only slightly faster than throwing it

Which gave you enough time to make a run for it.

Guest archey
in the US we came here back in the day as indentured servants for the most part so we were in the hole already. so practical businessmen who framed the constitution thought hmmmmm we should let them have guns anyhow but with a prayer they don't have to use them against their relatives in the old countries. ok...but we were weak back then. now we're a superpower and people want their guns. well i want the whole clan liable for crimes commited with guns but i will get NOWHERE gauranteed. LOT of crazy people in the US. LOTS.

Guest archey
They're still teetering on the brink. all the jobs lost were those that paid less than 1000 dollars a week. those over 1000 actually gained jobs. and no one wants to figure out how to get those people back to work. in truth since nixon less than 50% of registered voters vote so.... once people figure out its actually worth it to pick up the dying off the street we should be on a better course. kinot-1
I picked these gems from a MC forum, on how stupid the world is becoming. Laugh or cry,,,,your call. " I went into a store and asked for a foot of some velcro off a roll. The late-teens chick working the counter just stared at the tape measure she had that wasn't marked off at the "foot" intervals and clearly had no idea how many inches were in a foot." "I had an older neighbor ask me about rocks in Finland since I do geo work. I told her about the Fenno-Scandinavian shield and its ancient granites. And she says, "That doesn't make any sense. Finland only became a country about 100 years ago. How can the rocks be so old?"" "Was at a deli counter a couple of weeks back and asked for 3/4th pound of one of the turkeys they had pre-sliced. She gave me a blank stare and started trying to weigh out what looked like 1.2 ounces or something. I just said - how about making it 12 ounces. She had no idea what 3/4th of a pound was working in the deli." "There is a local food joint here that sells the world's best pumpkin ice cream around Thanksgiving. My brother and his wife were visiting a few years ago and on the way home from doing something or other, we stopped at the drive through to get some; Me: "I'd like a quart of pumpkin ice cream, please." Young Waitress: "We only sell it by the pint." "My 10-year old niece got complaints from her teacher that she was reading too much, wrote texts that were too long using words too complicated for her age." "Ordered a medium chocolate milkshake one day after a long mountain bike ride. The young gal at this small town drive-in tells me they don't have a medium, just small, large and extra large. I asked her if she grasped the comparative nature of the term "medium"? Blank stare. Ordering lunch at a place, total came up to $3.25. I hand the kid a five-dollar bill, and he takes it and starts punching in numbers. I then hand him a quarter. Was that a mistake. Frozen, deer in the headlights look from him. "Uh...uh....w-what?..." He sort of waves the five dollar bill and the quarter around aimlessly while struggling to find the button on the register that will solve this problem for him. I smile, not unkindly, and say "Two dollars is my change back." He looks up at me, back down at the register....up at me....back down at the register...then turns and calls the manager over. She comes up, he points to the total on the register, and then shows her the five and the quarter I gave him. She looks at him...looks at me...looks back at him and say's "Two dollars. Give him two dollars." The kid gives her an incredulous look, rings it up and opens the drawer, hands me my two dollars. He then turns to the manager and says "This is too hard!" At that point I just took my meal and left, so I'm not sure what happened next. But I never saw him working there again." "Ordered a Pizza the other night, it was to be ready in 30 minutes, about 5:15, went to pick it up at 5:15, wasn't ready. Counter person said it would be ready at 5:15, they had an analog clock, it said 5:15, he couldn't read it , could only read digital clocks. WTH?" "I was at the drive-through in McDonalds and they asked me how i wanted my coffee and I replied 2/3 coffee, the rest cream. When I got to the window to pick it I asked if it was 2/3 coffee and she replied: "Yes and 25% cream." "Where I work, we have a several locations throughout the midwest. At one of these locations I heard 3 people arguing about how a ton of steel ways more than a ton of feathers, and then they argued about how much a ton was. Not one of them knew a ton was 2,000 lbs. It was very educational for me. And one of them was the location manager, when I left to come home I almost cried at how stupid those people were." kinot-1
You just helped Rogers pay Burke's salary. Or else their getting ready for Lou. Last Mar. I bought a vehicle, an '06 (car/truck/SUV whatever), and for the last few months it had been losing MPG. So,,,today I took it in for a check-up to see what was wrong. It has 253000 odd K's on it, (I got a REAL good deal on it), so I figured something was wrong. Turns out that it had never had a tune-up . No plug change,,,fuel filter change,,,,nothing . Seems that in order to get to the plugs,,,they have to take the manifold off (who designs these cars?). Well,,,$650.00 later , it's all taken care of. ,,,but I did get 3 calenders out of the deal.
