vegasrick
Great. Just great. Now Jagr is going to make the Habs' lives even more miserable. Playing for the Flies, of all teams: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AqJR3nxeB252yT7jYCXSKQ17vLYF?slug=ap-flyers-jagr This is just about as bad as hearing that Roman Hamrlik signed with the Washington Capitals. These teams hate Montreal, and have both just gotten better. Something tells me that Jagr is far from finished, and will no doubt take his game play up an additional notch when playing the Canadiens, especially in Montreal, like all great players seem to do. With our questionable defense, these two acquisitions alone could be the difference as to whether the Habs make the playoffs or not, because we always seem to be a "fringe" team, hovering around that last playoff spot come season's end. A couple more losses and we could be 9th or worse.....and I think these two players could easily hand the Habs those extra two or so losses. What makes it worse is that I've always liked Jagr as a player. Now, as a returning player, part of me will be rooting for him to do well. I wonder if I'll be rooting for him in the playoffs, too? 'Cuz if the Habs aren't in the postseason, there might be little other reason to watch.

FirstStar
and selanne Very true Nine. Gonna be fun to see of more JJ......of course not against us. Damm you Flyers Acquiring Jagr doesn't bother me so much (probably ticks off the Pen fans). What really bothers me about the flyers, is their 1st round draft pick... That kid would've looked so good in a Habs uni. I really wanted the Habs to go after him.

FirstStar
same here, really glad we got nathan tho Nathan was definitely a good pick up, but had we gotten the kid the flyers got... We would've had a pretty good young core of forwards in a few years. And with French names.

muskeg2
Funny that the top two scorers on opening day were some of the oldest guys in the league. Selanne and Jagr have been playing this game, and playing it well, for a long time.
