If RC thought it was best to use Campoli over Noke, that doesn't bode well for Noke when Gomez comes back. Clearly, RC feels like he doesn't need him in the line-up on a nightly basis.

I fraankly think it needs to be the other way around, Campoli doesnt seem to be much value right now. Like hes out there and plays fine, but so does Diaz Emelin Gill Subban and Kaberle

unless they are trying to showcase campoli, it doesn't make much sense. Noke has played pretty well. Campoli, meh

Is there really anythign to showcase with Campoli ?

Anyone know If this is one or two way deal?

Just says 1 year at 575K. No mention of a 2 way, but i think he would need to be waived to go down.

Very disappointed with this sign. We really don't need him, he was pretty much invisible on the ice. On a 4th line, he is not the type of player you need. We need gritty players who can play physical.

He could be the designated press box player. Better him then a kid. ;)

maybe we're aiming for 2 4th lines that can rotate every other game

I doubt he's going to see full time duty, so in a way this isn't such a bad signing. I'm sure he won't whine about lack of ice time if he sits for long periods of time. Like i said,,,,better him then a prospect. ;)

Per Renaud Lavoie, we have resigned him to a 1 year deal.

Petteri Nokelainen signed contract extension with Canadiens $575 000

Is there any kind of CBA reasoning that Bergevin decided not to give him a qualifying offer only to sign him anyway? This doesn't make any sense.

He was an RFA so a qualifying offer would have included a raise i believe. I guess this way we could sign him for league minimum.

Not a fan of this if we don't get moore/halpern july 1st.

Move makes no sense with the # of better options available on sunday.

Every game will see 2 players sitting. He could be one of those guys,,,and he won't cry about it to the media i'm sure.

Hopefully that's the case as it's nice to have a player that can jump him if something happens. Let's pray he's not a full time player.

Yeah,,,,a reasonably experienced guy who can fill in short term and unlikely to bump a prospect into the press box. We could do worse.
