opps my bad i read right over his name without noticing when i was looking at the stats :P, he's a big boy 6'2 214 apparently he hits like a "Mac Truck" as stated above, i'm assuming with all the talent that they will be swapping pairings because ellis is yet to play or that's what it says on the dogs stats. It's weird we dont have henry on the blue line leaves a really young squad of dmen so im not gonna blame goaltending for the dogs.. yet

Ellis has played the last 2 games (Nash is sitting out since then).

Pateryn seems like he's afraid to hit anyone or use his size effectively.

To be honest i haven't watched any of the dogs games.. not because i don't want to but because i can't find a channel that airs the games.. sportsnet is too busy with the CHL and im noot sure why tsn is doing rewinds but the only time ive seen the dogs play is on highlights, i'm just going by what others are saying.. and again i wasn't aware ellis had played any games but i'm glad he is.. btw whos the captain now?

No captain as of yet, St. Denis, Blunden and Boyce were assistants last I saw

That's unfortunate, anyone hear a time frame? Good thing they have a lot of depth in the back end, had 7 solid d to begin with and a couple more than capable ready for call up if need be.

Kind of off topic but if there are a lot of call ups from wheeling through the year, where does wheeling get replacement players from?

Wait, what happened? When did Pateryn get called up? When did Weber get hurt?

I was only listening to the game on the radio so I didn't see the injury, but apparently Weber got hurt during our PP on the play that gave Staal a penalty shot. They called up Pateryn right after the game.

From the way they were calling the game it sounded like Weber would have been lucky to see much ice in the third period even if he had been healthy.

I wasn't watching the game closely. From what I saw Weber took an interference call in the first on Skinner that, in my mind, was debatable. The giveaway that led to the Staal breakaway, and subsequent penalty shot, was pretty bad though. I thought Weber's time here would have been finished before the season started. I'm surprised he's still here now.
